Love my agv helmets. Besides 5 shell sizes, they are the quieter ones of the many i have. No drop down sunscreen, but they prefer the extra layer of protection versus the space needed for the screen. Makes sense 😎

Excellent video. I have two HJC helmets. Infinity started stocking them 10(?) years ago. I bought a mid ranking (round the city) carbon / fibreglass and was REALLY impressed by the fit and quality, so I bought an expensive one too. Remember fit is SO important.

I have landed at shoei. Nice fit, low drag even with a turned face to the wind. Nice small but effektive wents that don't catch the wind. No intrusive noise. Nice clear glass with out that homo pinlock. Rain stay as drops on visor. And ofcause the helmet has to work in the wind. Any screen on the bike that throw wind onto the helmet eliminate any feature of the helmet.
Low air resistance is a must. Clear vision and led fatigue.

Very comprehensive, thanks for the info. I'm interested in what you were wearing at the time of your accident and how it held up.

I was wearing the NEXX XG100R. It held up superbly. I have replaced it with the same helmet. Cheers.

Very in formative, I have a Norton Commando as My REAL retro bike and got a Bell Bullit retro helmet, incredible vision but noisy without ear plugs, My BMW RS send some air to the helmet ,so a little noise and the Moto Guzzi Norge is the quietest. I did buy the Shoei Neotec 2 with the build in Sena Mesh. Great helmet, quite and comfortable

The biltwell gringo S is a good retro helmet. Surprisingly quiet (no vents) also have the reg. Gringo ( no flip shield, 5 snap shield option.) I use 3 snap flip shield.even though it doesn't seal against chin bar ( 1.5 " overhang) its pretty quiet and provides ventilation.clears up the fog pretty quick 😎

Great job, thanks! I still don't know how to figure out whether my head is oval, round or just blockhead shaped.

Obviously I want the most safety as possible but the helmet must be as quiet as possible and comfortable. These requirements result in a substantial outlay of cash.

Agree. Quiet is good. Do you wear plugs?

@@BlueMarbleRiderWhen I was younger no but the BMW System 1 modular helmet when riding my 83 BMW R100RT resulted in virtual silence, only a hint of passing wind. Since then all my helmets were not as quiet, the years of shooting sports and loud yard equipment caught up with me so yes I wear high quality ear plugs all the time.

    Shoei or Arai. Problem solved.

You'd be surprised. Check out Sharp's rating of Arai. Very few reach 5 stars (3 from memory?). Most get 3 or 4 stars, with black side impact zones - the quantum being an example. Also they are geared to round heads. Shoei are better, with 4-5 stars on average, although not all...XR and GT seem to do poorly.

@@BlueMarbleRider I have a pristine TZ-R from back in the day. Shoei is my personal pick.
