Your "market bag" is so beautiful! I love it! I can totally relate to you having to put knitting on the back burner. I've lived with RA (rheumatoid arthritis) since I hit puberty around 12 years old. It forced me to learn how to "work smarter, not harder". There are some things I just can't do, but other tasks I'm able to accomplish by adapting to me condition. I have to be clever in some cases. Believe it or not, I'm actually really good at bead weaving and other jewelry making. I'm now learning to embroider at 67. I've been wanting to try bead embroidery, so I thought learning to embroider first was a logical 1st step. I've been following Sarah Homfray on YT & FB to learn embroidery. I'm looking forward to incorporating a few of your "dots" into my slow stitching sampler project that I'm ready to start. I've been gather supplies, part of my shopping therapy (a widow's reality escaping) and now have a lot of beautiful fabrics and a lot of thread and embellishments. I just need to figure out when to make time for stitching. Thanks for sharing some of your ongoing projects. I can hardly wait to sink my needle into my sampler and sharing with you and your FB group.
OK, that's it! You're not the only one that mentioned bead embroidery! One of my specialties as I had a bead store and taught it for years! One of my fav things to do. So meditative! I'm going to have to do a class on it now! 💜💜💜

Well you KNOW if I made a journal it would be from recycled things! 😂 I stopped buying art supplies at the craft store years ago! Not including the basics of glue and paint.... I buy all my fabric from the thrift shop, disguised as clothing. hehehaaa I love stitching with soft cloth full of story and history. Sending hugs!

@@JeriBellini it was on a whim that I asked the seamstress if I could buy her scraps. She advised she used bigger pieces sometimes but she'd gladly give me the stuff that is usually tossed. A real blessing 🐞💜🐞

I watched you today while making chicken okra gumbo after spending the morning in my (almost daily) creative journal. My word is persistence. It’s really in reference to weight loss but it works for my art as well!

You could talk about anything and I'd watch. I love the market bag. It looks quite a bit like a cat bed that I made, but I stopped long before you did on those edges, and rolled the edges around a flatter center. Great cat bed. I LOVE the dots. That could be a really cool quilt top as well. I totally love it. I love the drawing lessons. You're doing great. I'm also practicing drawing. Word: Serendipity is a literary noun that means good fortune or luck in finding valuable or pleasant things that are not sought for. Color: Cobalt Color Meaning: The Color Cobalt Symbolizes Ingenuity and Enlightenment. Flower: Periwinkle Friendship: A sweet memory of good times and a bond that will last forever. Ladybug symbol also stands for protection, healing, and good fortune across the world. Number: 13 is a number of power and practicality. It represents building secure foundations, strong tradition, and hard work. It can also represent focus, independence, and creativity. Animal: Llama Spirit animal Some say that having a llama as a spirit animal means you're laid back, easygoing, stubborn, generous, brilliant, persevering, and have good instincts. Some of these I decided I should check the meanings of after seeing your video. I'm also going to make goals of purging things that no longer give me Joy and contentment. Oh thanks for that Birdie... I didn't care to use my phone because while I was filming I would get a message or something. I did figure out to turn all that off, but I like to keep myself "camera ready" so I thought a regular camera would work best for me. I'm really happy with my new video camera. I'll still use the phone if I'm out. Easy works best for me at this age! 🤣 🩷
