Sorry this one was shorter, but i wanted to put in stuff i was sure not everyone knew about., As the game has been out over a year now. If there are details you discovered that you think not many know about then comment down below and i will credit and put you in the next video if you want. I read all the comments and want to say thanks for 2000 subs. More will be on the way!
That whole sequence is pretty funny because it's just so... out of left field. You're arguing peerage with a bank teller. In a high fantasy game. I wonder if a similar conversation can be kicked off by the noble background... or Drow.
I managed to get the Justiciar Crusader during my most recent honour mode run. I used greater invisibility + knock to open the door, planning to cheese the Balthazar fight by letting the infinite minions kill him. Fled most of the party to camp, left my computer for a smoke and snack, and came back to see the giant Justiciar standing over Balthazar.
@@CCritts Balthazar and his minions will never target the Umbral Tremors directly so it’s very unlikely that they win the fight. The only way they can destroy the tremors is by AOE happenstance, so eventually they’ll get overwhelmed by the endless spawns without some insane luck. Somehow they managed to destroy one in my game, not sure how since I had walked away for snack, but I suspect it was the golem’s thunder AOE, since the portals are immune to all of Balthazar’s poison and necrotic attacks.
@@CCritts I've done this on my last two runs. I forget exactly how it was going to play out because I stepped in at the last minute so I could speak to Balthazar, but I believe he was going to win both times (albeit it is close) because the "endless" waves eventually stop but Balthazar keeps resurrecting at least a portion of his allies. Hmm, I also have a mod that gives an extra bonus action to every enemy though, that might throw off the balance.
@@GrizlyWizardThat's not 100% true. Maybe it's due to bugs but I've seen the skeleton archers target the tremors directly... about twice during the encounter so it's pretty much wasted actions. Balthazar can actually win that fight too, it's extremely unlikely but out of the 10 or so Honour Mode runs I've completed, he managed to get the upper hand once with a series of nasty Cloud Kill spells. I must say, I was pretty astonished when he pulled that off especially with all the guides advertising the fight as utterly unwinnable for him.
0:40 I've actually seen this guy a fair few times, I usually get to this fight through the kitchen, go invisible, use knock on Balthazar's door, and run away from the fight so Balthazar and the Justiciars have to fight it out against one another. Balthazar always loses btw lmao
It's not cool or hidden, but if you're looking to max XP early on you can kill the intellect devourer in the nautiloid before saving Us. It's just 10 xp, and it means having to backtrack for Us. But I usually do it because I like to hit level 3 before the grove and every little bit helps.
I haven't seen many people talk about the many basements in Act 3 so it's either not that rare or people don't have the sneakiness (or they don't cause the bloodshed necessary) to pull it off... Either way there's really interesting lore and rare stuff in the basements, even if the loot can be a little underwhelming haha
About avoiding the courtyard fight. You can also fly or misty step up onto the wall on the right side from the spot where a couple of humans spawn into mindflayers. Up there there is only one small group of enemies you have to defeat, you can then sneak passed the rest.
The Balthazar one is fairly known to Honour Mode practitionners, any method is good to avoid fighting a hasted Balth and this is the most common one I know. Others include pickpocketing the potion or sending him flying in the Shadowfell.
Idk much about dnd (i read this from a comment) but when you first meet elminster hes actually a high level illusion, that according lore is creating using water. So if you can defeat him the illusion shatters with water splashing effects
I just make Balth kill everything after arcane locking that door and sleeping on the bed, that way no issues with Dame Aylin later on. The Durge lines at the bank were fantastic!!! Larian really did make the best game...
I always let Balthazar and the Dark Justiciars fight it out amongst themselves, usually Balthy loses that fight :) after that you just gotta pick off the remaining DJs and don't have to bother with Balthy in the Shadowfell.
2.5k hrs, 9 or 10 full playthroughs, every achievement, watch lots of BG3 videos and did NOT know, about the end game shortcut, Volo's easter egg, or the lord of murder dialog at the bank. Did you know there is a way, as the dark urge, to kill Isabel and get her armor without dooming Last Last Light Inn?
@@CCritts After you essentially finish Act 2, but have not left for Baldur's Gate, everyone is in the main room of Moonrise Tower for the celebration of killing Ketheric Thorm. Once I was ready to leave for Act 3, I did this. I took my character who essentially had the invisible ranged assassin build where you can kill something without becoming visible (using greater invisibility combined with +20 in the stealth stat) and got to max range from Isabel up in the rafters. Once I killed her, I had another character cast darkness (or maybe I used a darkness arrow...not sure) and looted her body. Once I had her armor, I teleported to the Baldurs Gate exit portal and left the area. This also enabled me to complete the dark urge quest to get the ability to turn into the slayer, which prevents Orin from getting the ability. Most importantly, I did not lose Dammon as a trader because everyone had already evacuated the Last Light Inn.

So Durge commits tax fraud. Good to know.
Their most dastardly crime yet.
The IRS would like to know your location, Tav...

i forgot to test it out, but is balthazar able to win against the last justiciar wave?

The amulet and the secret death knight route. You win this round.
As a *chad subscriber* I would just like to say it's always a pleasure to see one of your videos pop up in my feed.
That sewer shortcut is wild, I must’ve waked right past it on my first run into the damn courtyard fight 😂

Well of course he does...his spells are pretty much shit against undead enemies but effective against the living
Yeah you do need to hang around and help him out a little, just for the XP.
With this video, he must have reached 1% subs now! Come on guys lets do it!!
2k subs is not bad, he's prob pulling baddies with those numbers

ye but why brain monster shaped like friend?
@@CCritts I've never killed Us, so I don't know if that gives XP. 🙂

I was craving some secrets I didn’t know yet, thanks!:3
Oh never explored to find that graye to skip the courtyard fight... I always just used Duegar's invisibility to slip it all.

i know alot of the shops have basements with loot but you got a point that not many know. Might put that on another video

Makes you wonder if you wear Jaheria's underwear and romance Halsin if you get a different dialog option??? lol.

great video mate, never tired of bg3
I keep expecting knock to get nerfed because of all the funny stuff players get up to!
these facts were pretty fun.

Volo is a D&D character created in 1990, so it's kind of not an easter egg for Baldur's Gate 3, but I get it.
I always figured the thing about Halsin and ducks was a reference to Magnus from TAZ!
