In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started -- the iconic New York City firehouse -- to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who've developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. That’s right!
A lot of GB Fans had a problem with this movie because they said that the Fire Master bit looks too silly and It doesn’t fit in Ghostbusters, and to be honest, I honestly don’t mind the Fire Master bit in the movie. One Ghostbusters Fan could argue that there used to be original ghost catchers before the Ghostbusters in ancient times. if there was a prequel, I would call it, Garraka a Ghostbusters Story.
Seriously? We had the ghost of a freaking Warlock in Ghostbusters II and fans take issue with the concept of a firebender?
Magic has already been confirmed to exist in the Ghostbusters world, and this isn't the first time alternative means of "ghostbusting" has been shown either.
Even in the Cartoon shows there were other "Ghostbusters" from the ancient past who dealt with evil spirits with magic and ancient weaponry and sometimes the boys and girls in grey needed some magical help when the proton guns proved ineffective.
I rather like the idea they teased here of there having been other "Ghostbusters" in ancient times who used elemental magic and artifacts to contain evil spirits like King Solomon with the rebellious Djinn and it makes perfect sense for it to exist in the movie universe and it fits like a glove in a series full of lovecraftian horrors who turn into marshmallows and rivers of pure concentrated evil slime.

@@maskedhero6425 and not only that we’ve seen like a lot of other goofy stuff in the Ghostbusters comics like the Ghostbusters teaming up with the transformer named EctoTron or the Ghostbusters teaming up with the Ninja Turtles or the best one, the Ghostbusters teaming up with the entire Ghostbusters Multiverse
@@maskedhero6425yeah. Some people forget that this is in the same universe where a dimensional god can cross through our world, is a lightning bender, and chooses a destructive form depending on one’s thoughts.
Then like you said, Vigo who is a literal Warlock, and Ivo Shandor in the games who protects himself with mystical barriers.
Any ghostbusters media, movie, cartoons, or games that confirm or allude to magic should be a norm. There is so much we don’t know about the ghostbusters universe and as a ghostbusters fan I’m open for it to expand.
Also have you seen the Ghost Lord’s design in that new vr game, and other Characters? Like they get crazy, and he’s considered a ghost.

@@ricardocardona9193 Ah yes, IDW Ghostbusters comic line that branched off from the events of the game...that was the best, next to IDW Back to the Future.
The crossovers they unleashed, we got Batman/TMNT, TMNT/GHOSTBUSTERS, BTTF/TRANSFORMERS, GHOSTBUSTERS/TRANSFORMERS...with the best one being the one you mentioned "Crossing Over", a massive crossover event with every Ghostbuster character ever made teaming up to save the multiverse from supernatural havoc.
They were indeed the best.

That ending was extreme and worrisome; the only firebender didn't seem to be enough for Garraka; if that thing gets out, only Gozer could have the power to send it back to the outerworld; and now out of the containment unit, there could be s'mores ahead...

Since Harold Ramis kind of made a cameo on "Ghostbusters Afterlife" as CGI when defeating Gozer, it's too bad the director here didn't make Harold Ramis as CGI again when defeating this ghost.
Who would win? Garakka or Gozer? I'd say Garakka because Gozer needs two humans to be possessed. All you need to do is free one like they did in Afterlife
