    You can also feed this antenna at one of the ends at the ground with a 49:1 unun and it will work on both 40 and 20 with a decent pattern. Will also resonate on 15 and 10 with a crazy pattern -KE6VG

    Nice and easy build. Would it be possible to share the STL-files for the brackets?

    FB Chuck, always good to see simple antennas that have gain. 20m is the money band here in MT also.

    Another great video,Chuck,especially with the build design layout.Both the half square and delta loop are fantastic DX performers.Hoping we can see a video of it in action.

    Great video again. I have experimented with these. Made one on 80m that I had suspended between 2 high pine trees. Worked great.
    I also made some for 40m. I extended your version with another leg in the opposite direction making 3 elements, kind of like a Botail curtain but directly fed in the top. I compared with a friend who live very close to me whom had a 4-square on 40m and I was receiving the same stations stronger than him.
    Next I tried extending it again making it 5 elements, gain and low angle was great but I was having inconsistant SWR. I think it was because of the sagging I had in the horizontal wire. If I only had 3 trees someone in line that could be fixed.
    It is amazing what one can do for not very much money.
    Tips, dont let the ends come too close to the ground, the voltage there is very high. Dont touch the ends even when not transmitting, last, hang something in the ends to make the wire hang straight and not blow around in the wind so much.

    i would have just tinned the ends so they could be threaded through the little holes.

    Thank you for making another video and sharing it with all of us! I'm always happy when someone puts the analyzer on the antenna and shares the measurements with us, thank you for doing that on your videos! Videos! I am of course subscribed with notifications turned on and thumbs up! 73 W3GUY

    Just moved to a property with a 150+ foot long yard and plenty of massive trees... Might have to throw a couple of these in the air.

      Cut some plexiglass / plastic from the big box stores and make them. That is what I am doing since I don't have a 3D printer. I am going to put a SO239 on my setup since that is what I have a lot of. Hope this idea helps.

    Chuck, late to the dance here but wondering what the usable bandwidth is for your half square. Looks like 100 kc on your AA-30. Can you confirm?

      Yea that sounds about right, it has been a while since I used it but it was good for the 20m band.

    Hello Chuck. I don't see any info on the 10 meter push-up poles. Can you let us know make model where you were able to get them. Are they fiberglass or carbon fiber or something else. Thanks

    • @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures
      @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures  2 роки тому

      I have a Sotabeam, Packtenna and the DX commander expedition 10m fiberglass mast. Pretty sur the are all the same except the DXC is black and most likely the only one you will find in stock. Don't use carbon fiber for this antenna.

    Does it radiate off the sides or is it omnidirectional? N4KBM

    • @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures
      @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures  2 роки тому

      Tommy off the sides but not a huge difference like compared to Yagi. It is omni directional with more gain to the sides.
