Even tho i'm a very long time Christian (40 yrs), I am still messed up, even if i'm being pruned again and again. For one, is trying to put impt people with impt names on a pedestal. Now talking about it, I feel I had been quite a fake. Then there were moments when I almost thought I was Him. Just because I know a few things about the Bible(parables, sound doctrine). I dare not try to get anywhere near to that kind of feeling. By grace thru faith alone in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. (and it is of Nazareth alone bc there are so many people by that name from diff towns, cities). Then I stop telling people I'm a Christian. This term has been so diluted it means something bad in today's terms. There are scammers who say they are Christian too! Now I ask a lot of questions of myself. There are some tentative answers but a whole lot more questions.
God knows because He decrees what will come to pass. He does not have a crystal ball, Sovereignty belongs to God he is not half a Savior. Predestination and foreknowledge are synonyms (Acts 2:23). Jack is at a minimum a Semi- Pelagian, a teaching condemned by the Council Orange. Contrary to Jack thinking he comes with no denominational baggage, Pastor Chuck comes from the 4 Square Gospel Denomination and was a Charismatic at best. Christmas Day; Dec 25, 2024
It is an issue, It's an issue between Fundamental Dispensationalism's novel approach. My support for Israel is political, or for theological reasons as St Paul refers to the church as the Israel of God. Jack erroneously calls ( without naming names as "Replacement" theologians. If this were true he needs to have the courage to call these men out. This is what I see as the problem with untutored clergy. The church aka the qāhāl of the OT. Dispensationalism creates an artificial distinction. Prophecy punditry and tethering it to conservative politics is big business. Sadly the simple preaching of the Gospel does not but butts in the seats. But that is what the church is called to do. It is how the early church over threw the Roman Empire. We as are not called to Make America Great again, God has given us one and only mission; the proclamation the Gospel. Pastors be faithful...
