I've seen people referencing Starlights' transformation speeches and the plane scene, or making fun of Star Maker's attack... but what about the penultimate episode, in which Starlights, having combined their powers, managed to overpower Galaxia?! :D
I never liked that scene because the starlights is not powerful than the outer senshis. but when Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Saturn were defeated easily, yet the starlights can overpower Galaxia?! whattttt....
I loved that scene. The Starlights are powerful in their own way. It was a gratifying to see them successfully strike back against Galaxia, the person who ruined their lives by destroying their planet and murdering their princess.

Nobody made them choose to turn into boys. Their excuse is that they had to disguise themselves as pop stars to get their queen's attention, but there are girl pop stars, and their queen would have a better chance of recognizing them if they made as few physical changes as possible. They were definitely taking the chance to explore some things about themselves.
