Thanks for the excellent tutorial. I have lost confidence in Asus because of the poor engineering. I had some keys that needed to be pressed several times to work and tried cleaning them, thinking they were sticking. Later, I found the issue was a software problem, which I fixed in the registry. When I removed the problematic keys, the retaining pins broke, due to becoming brittle, hence the need to replace the keyboard. Sigh!

man sieht auch auf der Unterseite des Lüfters, dass auf dem schwarzen Klebeband (Verbindung von Lüfter und Kühlkörper) ein kleines Metallteil mit silbernen Klebeband aufgebracht ist. Ist das eine Wärmebrücke zwischen Kühlkörper und einem Temperatursensor? Wenn ja, wo ist der Sensor angebracht?

Ich muss meinen Lüfter tauschen. auf 2:10 baust du den Lüfter aus incl. dem Kühlkörper. Man kann sehen, dass der Lüfter ringsum mit einem Klebeband fixiert ist. Anders kann man den Lüfter nicht ausbauen/ersetzen? ------------------------------------ I need to replace my fan. at 2:10 you remove the fan including the heat sink. You can see that the fan is fixed all around with adhesive tape. Is there no other way to remove/replace the fan?Ich muss meinen Lüfter tauschen.

I have this exact model, and this video really helped me take it apart to take out my bad battery. My battery wasn't charging, and then the laptop wouldn't turn on, it would act like it was booting, then shut back off. When I removed the battery (and brushed out all the dust) it now boots up perfectly and faster than ever. I do wish this video highlighted where the screws where before you took them out, and showed what length they were. Cause I missed a couple screws at first and almost pulled too hard on getting the keyboard piece out before I realized there was still a few screws in it. Had to watch you get them out a few times, especially where the dvd drive was attached. Other than that, though, great video!

Yes I also got the slight screen crack on the last corner, the screen removal is fairly brushed over and looks simple… but you cannot take too much care…. Obviously. Also, not sure it was made too clear but to pull the two screen ribbons, you need to lift the black clip up before pulling the ribbon out. Would not have attempted to do job without watching this first though, so thank you.
