@Lifty You're not getting something that's supposed to be obvious. It's a boss fight, it's supposed to be hard, and, in some cases, tedious. It wouldn't be much of a boss fight if they were easy.
... This is a remix of the final boss music! I just noticed this now. This is a softer, more quiet version of the boss, and after you see the identity of who consumed Cross, you fight him to a more dynamic and fierce battle theme befitting the final boss. Sascha and Cris are geniuses!

The line "You're fast, but I'm faster" honestly kinda bugs me because there is no way in hell Cross (a human) should be faster than a living bio weapon virus
@@thescruffinator8830 he isn't the supreme hunter himself. He got consumed by the supreme hunter later in the game. If I was him, I'd just run instead of fight, knowing that I won't stand a chance. Besides, he's waaay faster than Alex.
On the harder difficulties he can stun you with his cattle prod if you try to whipfist him. That's what makes him such a toss to beat. Speaking of tossing, I preferred to musclemass and ditch stuff at him.
On normal I thought “oh I’ll just cheese him with ranged” nope he was not having it. Ironically having the horde come it made it easier. More targets to use as meat shields and more things to throw at him
The Whipfist's long range (Y/Triangle/RMB) attack makes it easier. Or, if playing in New Game +, use a fully charged Blade Air Slice. Even on Hard, that battle will only take three Air Slices on Cross to beat.
Best boss in the game, let's be real. Cross is more fair than the other bosses, isn't an enemy spam-fest like Mother, doesn't do crap-tons of damage like Stage 2 Supreme Hunter, and is more enjoyable than Stage 1 Hunter. Sure, some people have a harder time against some bosses more than others, but Cross is a cakewalk compared to the Stage 2 Supreme Hunter. That boss can go rot in hell for all I care, and the community agrees on that notion.
@@ninamercer2509 Uh no because they simply changed it completely, they never intended you to... change the appearence of the claws at the time of its development
@@Cruddy129 what are you talking about? All she said was that he could morph into that, if he wanted to. He's a shapeshifter... he can literally take any form he really wants. Just that it would be too hard to implement a feature like that. Even today. Lore can't always match up with games, because games are much more limited than books and movies...
i played in hard and everything was hard. still i beat everything and got platinum achievements on everything after only 120 hours :D i miss games like these that actually challenge you

He had the redlight virus in him. He was a super soldier, according to the wiki anyway.

he's a super soldier capable of turning into a supreme hunter, i'd say it's entirely possible that he's faster.

Cross was enjoyable, supreme hunter was a bitch, greene was just a tanky flesh sack that spammed those homing ball things.

He can shift his body into any shape he wants, they just didn't put it in the game because it'd take way too much time and effort
