Music, food, art everywhere! I loved it! I've considered moving to NOLA because of its rich culture and celebrated diversity. There is no place like New Orleans anywhere else in the States.
I have been to NOLA twice in three years, I love the French Quarter!! I am looking for a place to live when I retire in 5 years!! I love the history and the architecture of the buildings.
I’ve always felt drawn to visit Nola, it’s always been represented and sensed for its spiritual qualities, so deep in the opening of the veils in that area. Will be visiting soon.
I’m from Houston and the traffic has gotten crazy I’m looking to move to New Orleans in April I love that city. It’s not what ppl see on tv, so much to do
Thank you!! So informative and down to earth. This was for the urbans lol. We wanna know how cheap everything is and things to do. Not the cliche shops and stuff we can find on Google 😂 well done!!
What I think of when I think of New Orleans: colors, jazz, culture, history, music, great food, voodoo, rituals, spirits, architecture, a beautiful renowned past. About a century ago it was talked about the way NYC was. It was the place to be. It's pretty awesome that you get to say that you're from there! I need to visit and see if I'd like to live there too. :) For that price, it could be worth it 💜💛💚🧡💖❤💜 I saw your other video, I bet New Orleans will come back one day, it has a big big past. Better lock down on property while it's cheap lol
I am heavily considering moving to New Orleans. I lived in Las Vegas for two years and moved back to Virginia last summer but considering I am visually impaired and live in an area where there is no public transportation or anything to do whether if covid is happening or not, I'm seriously considering going because I've always wanted to see New Orleans and this would be the perfect opportunity.
You have a beautiful smile. I went through all the flattering comments (currently 83) and I didn't see one mention. I wasn't even going to comment because you must hear it constantly.
I want to move to New Orleans I'm saving money so I cant move there. I heard and research the cons, I was freaked out for a little bit, second guessing. But, babyyy, its time to go straight from New York to New Orleans. Its been calling me for a few years. By November or December, I want to be moving to New Orleans. Bank account looking good for it too. I want to be out of the hood👀👀Cuz my ass already live in the hood, aint trying to move to another hood. Im looking at French quarter(mad bread) and Garden District or areas around it.
I was stationed at Fort Eustis, Va. for almost 2 years, mingled and dated there as well, I've been all over the region but never heard the term "making groceries" (faire marche') there, maybe you've heard it from the New Orleans diaspora from hurricane Katrina, idk. ⚜️⚜️⚜️
@@nola305 I’m from Dinwiddie, VA, and I’ve heard and used “making groceries” my whole life. I’m 26. Thanks, but I know the dialect of where I’m from pretty well. Southern/Central VA isn’t like the Hampton Roads/Chesapeake region where you were. It’s totally different, and our dialect and way of life is totally different. I’ve really never head anyone of another race say they had to “make groceries,” so quite possibly it migrated here during slavery. However, I’m 100% sure it’s not something I picked up or heard from someone who migrated after Katrina because Katrina happened when I was in the 6th grade. This is a phrase that I’ve literally never questioned because it’s been said to and around me my entire life.
I was in NOLA this year March right at the start of the shutdown, I wanna come back before March 2021, again I had a really good time. Have you ever been to New York? I live in the Bronx. If you interested in a place to stay I’ll rent my apartment to you dirt cheap so you can experience the city fully.
I'm grateful for this as New Orleans is on my short list....my 13 year old wanted to see a good video and this is it....well minus the overnight liquor store...that's for me
Im looking forward to visiting NO, I have family there... but as far as living there... that’s a big no. 😅 I think NO is a good place to live if you’re already established aka wealthy/retired with good rental insurance because you’ll need it due to the crazy weather. 😂💯💯❤️❤️
Hey 👋🏾 iv been thinkin bout moving to NO for a couple yrs now one of the main things stoppin me is although im 29 idk how to drive lol in ny defense im in NY so u really dont need a car here, would u say its possible to live in NO with no car ?
I don't drive either so don't feel bad, public transportation is pretty reliable in New Orleans, not so much the surrounding cities ( in Jefferson Parish) There's even a Gomobile app to help aid riders. Also check my other video on the pros and cons of catching public transpartion in New Orleans here: ua-cam.com/video/7dwa4fzE214/v-deo.html hope this helps.
Hi please can you do one video how's the rent of the house and what is the difference between the apartment and the house rent 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Baby she never heard of super Sunday’s that’s when we second line as well just not for now funeral and the weeding second like yeah them kinda new for sure !!!
It's a NO for me especially if you don't date outside your race or gender. There isn't too much economic opportunities here for Blacks. Which leads to the majority being broken , poor, dysfunctional and damaged. But after COVID a lot has changed, people have moved in and out of New Orleans, So you never know.
New Orleans is my favorite U.S. city!! The food, the culture, the people...just love that city!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Loved this! I live in Denver but I've always felt strongly connected to NOLA. Still a pipe dream to move down there
Shannon W then you must follow your dreams! ❤️Thanks for watching!
@@ShaiWilde oh goodness though moving any time soon sounds like a terrible idea re: coronavirus... wasn't NOLA hit super hard?
I miss living in New Orleans. That’s my second home and I use to live on the westbank and I can’t wait to move back after high school
This helped.. I’ll be officially moved to New Orleans April 12th,2021
Girl...I'm right behind you

Cost of living sounds similar like Chicago. It’s affordable, not cheap. You are paying due to location.
Ya'll have the best food. I've been to LA, Miami, Houston, Paris, London, NYC etc.

Aww thanks Jeff!!! I don’t hear it enough ! Have a great day!
I found this info so useful! I want to move to NO soon. My husband and I go there a lot just for fun, but we want to relocate soon.

If you really have an urge, I would visit first.
I live in Lake Charles! My favorite time down there is Halloween! One day I’ma live there🖤🖤
Have you visit any haunted houses in New Orleans?
Shai Wilde Not yet, that’s always the plan until I get there and we start walking around 😂. We mainly go for the Crewe of Boo parade and the costumes
Yea I like the parks too. I only been to one
lol, which one ?

How is dating like in NO for blk women?

You need to turn on your air conditioning, plus your silly and need videos to go along with this.
Why are you a hater ? Are you doing okay in life ? Something wrong brother?
