I put 300k on my 04 Tahoe with little maintenance. I ran it hard as a tradesman and she never let me down. Still ran like a top the day I gave her away. Gotta love little Sahara!
That is Awesome 300K! WOW That is a lot of traveling as a tradesman! And even harder work than most of us young kids could even imagine. Respect!!!! We Love Little Sahara too!!!
The “backside” of Sand Mountain would be on the other side of the mountain. You were climbing the “gut”. From left to right, Fingers, Face, Razor, Gut. Sweet rail.
Thanks! My Grandpa has been going to Little Sahara since the early 70's and That's what we've always called it. The "Backside" Ha Ha. And the left side we call it exactly the same as you. Fun to hear. I'll have to tell Grandpa. Thanks for Watching!
Have you ever thought of flipping your motor and trans around so they face backwards over the top of your dif. Then run the transmission straight to a transfer case ( or boat v drive) and then from the transfer case back to your differential. You'd have that same v8 Ls power, (maybe a little less power by the time it gets through the transfer case) more room for some back seats, and maybe be poppin wheelies! There's a little more that would have to go into it but it would be sickk!!
Those are some great ideas! That would be really cool! Only thing...I dont know if I have the ambition to tear into it to pull it off. Ha Ha. Maybe one day. Thanks for Watchin
So I take it the RZR doesn't leak fuel all over the place by the fact that everyone sat there looking at it & taking pics instead of rolling it over right away
Ha Ha. You are correct. The young man walked 30 minutes to reach our camp site and another 10 minutes for us to drive back to where his grandpa was so if hadn't leaked fuel by then probably wasn't going to or we were just lucky.
The Transmission is a GM Turbo 350 with a custom-built shaft and adapter that bolts right to the rear end. It has U joints not CV's the whole rear end is out of a 61 to 63 Pontiac Tempest. Thanks for Watching!
Enjoy your vids. Was wondering how your power steering is holding up, more so the mounting bracket you used? Im copying your set up for my rail also and was not sure how yours is holding up.
Thanks for Watching! Appreciate it! Power steering and bracket are holding up Awesome so far! Still going strong after 5 or 6 weekend trips. What is your rail you are putting the power steering in?
Oh yeah!!!! We Love St. Anthonies!!! You are so lucky to be so close. We do an annual trip out there every August! Definately my families favorite dunes!
