Thank you, Jeff! The "step" at the fingerboard makes it kinda "dual action". I have a very low action for my left hand, and a higher action for the right hand. It allows me to play with way less effort and sharper notes and slaps. I've tried several "mods" on my bass on the last 15 years, and this by far was the most beneficial.
