Gardening in Zone 9 is amazing because we pretty much have a year-round growing zone. But it's very hot in the summer which can be tough! So I am so excited that I was able to partner with True Leaf Market to create a collection of vegetable seeds specifically for gardeners in Zone 9.
It is an amazing assortment of 12 different varieties of my favorite summer vegetables that thrive all summer long. If you are looking for some of the best vegetables to grow in your summer garden, this is a must-have collection!

As far as I know it is still out of stock at the moment, but you can click on the zone 9 seed collection and it will show you all the different varieties. You can then order each of the varieties individually!

Ho Audrey. Zone 9b low desert of Arizona. Very hot right now. Do you have experience with flowers too? I have a full garden and love planting flowers for pollinators and to just enjoy. Oh and I just ordered your seed collection and really interested in the calendar/ growing guide.

I do plant flowers, but just for fun, I don’t have a ton of experience to give you much information on that, I would recommend going to your local nursery and speaking to someone there they should have the knowledge on what would grow best in your area!

Zone 10B here, near LAX. Tried a Golden Zucchini this season and had nothing but blossom end rot on the whole plant. Coincidentally I did buy the Black Beauty variety recently and I'm going to be trying that next.

Blossom-end rot is caused by a lack of calcium in the developing fruit. In most cases, there is no need to apply calcium to the soil unless you do a soil test and know it’s needed. Try to maintain an even moisture supply and do not over-fertilize plants. Uneven moisture and excessive nitrogen can inhibit calcium uptake.

I think that's what happened to our squash last summer. I over fertilized with a strong nitrogen fertilizer when I fertilized my tomatoes. My tomatoes did well.

I really really wish you would include heirloom varieties of seeds….we are hearing more and more about food supply issues and we all need to be growing varieties that produce true variety seeds that can be saved and planted again and again. GMO and Hybrid seeds are not viable for seed saving.

Hi Johneete, I agree. Most of the varieties in this collection are heirloom. I do have a couple of hybrids because they grow well in our very hot weather. I grow both. However GMO seeds can never be purchased by a home gardener, they can only be bought commercially and so you don't ever have to worry about buying GMO seeds.

I tried zucchini this summer. I had stink bugs and powdery mildew. I fought with both but ended up just ripping them out. 😮‍💨

Sorry to hear that! Zucchini grows quickly so it’s definitely worth replanting if you want to give it another shot 😊

Do you know how many seeds come with each variety in this pack? I can't seem to find this info. Thanks

I’m sorry, how frustrating! I just tried on my phone and it went straight through, so I would suggest trying again or maybe trying on your phone instead of computer and hopefully it will work!

My zucchini is not producing this year at all. I have compost added to soil, spaced right and using fish fertilizer. Nothing. I got one zucchini this year. One of my favorite foods so I am extremely disappointed!

I’m sorry that is so frustrating! They probably are not getting pollinated and that is why they are not producing. If you want to look up videos on how to self pollinate squash that should be really helpful!

The variety pack is sold out 😔

I know I’m hoping they re-stick soon! However each variety is sold individually and so if you look at the varieties in the collection you can add them each individually to your order 😊

@AudreysLittleFarm good morning 😃 I'll do that instead. I have some cherry tomatoes already started indoors and wanted to add others to my garden this year.
