I just did this tonight with the BigOne Sac. Definitely not easy, but we needed this to setup Christmas decorations this year. Even in the duffel bag, it's still huge.
Literally shrunk a moviesac in 14 minutes with an old shop vac. Me and my sister were able to do this without any other help! I'd recommend buying one size up on your shrink kit if you're thinking of shrinking your sac, if you can, because it gives you some wiggle room in the shrink sac itself for your lovesac. As of right now, all the kits are the same price: $65. Biggest take away from the experience? Put the nozzle directly on the canvas of the sac and wait. Reshape as you go and keep in mind it'll take on air again once you put it in the duffle bag, don't freak! If you have the time, patience, another person and some earplugs, you can totally get this project done!
We got 2 for the kids and they were too big. Needed to downsize. With this video it took 3 total tries to get them both shrunk by myself. My big takeaway was to make sure you jump on it to keep the rectangular shape, and set the vacuum nozzle near wear the zipper ends. Glad they offer a great return policy and give you the right tools. Honestly had my doubts but it worked out well.

I even sent a suggestion to the company to get a bag with a valve, included a spacebag so they could see what I mean, I never heard back from them. Now I am moving again and I only need a plastic bag as I already have a duffelbag from first getting it and then when I ordered the shrink kit, I don't need a third duffel bag.
I had to watch this well done video with good description just to learn how to do the same thing to my CordaRoy’s bean bag. Even though I’m happy with mine their repacking video is pathetic and I guess that’s why they turned off the comments. When a customer spends the type of money these cost the vender should provide a good instructional video like the rest they’ve made!
Just got my sac shrink kit yesterday and with 3 of us shrunk the movie sac in 30 minutes. First time had the vacuum tube on the wrong side so needed to start over. 2nd try took 10 minutes (total of 30 min for 1st and second try). Now shipping the sac to my son in college. Going to be interesting to hear how it goes when he unzips the duffel.
worked great, used one of the RIGID 5.0 peak power vac from Home Depot. Took about 5 min to suck the air out of the super sac. Don't think you need to use both plastic bags. Doesn't look like they did either. My sac shrunk way smaller than duffle bag they provide. FYI def not a one person job. Tanks for video, love the products. Would love a couch if you wanna give one away.
I was worried about buying this kit with all the bad reviews it has received, but just finished shrinking our supersac. We were able to shink it small enough we even fit the cover in with the sac. Now praying that the duffle back can hold if it tries to expand again.
The instructions for this should say its a 2+ person job. I have been trying to shrink my sac for an hour now and broke through one bag already. Almost succeeded and then air got in because i had to drop the hose to shape. Need an easier model to shrink with or utilize a nozzle system that will lock onto the vacuum instead of a huge plastic bag with a huge opening!!! I love my Love Sac but need to store it for a bit. Would appreciated this being easier to do without calling friends for reinforcement to help me.
The only problem with this video is that they don't show that you should at least make a quick attempt to tie off the bag or close it in some way because like they said the duffel can handle the expansion but then it's almost like a one-time use because when you go to take it out again there's a good chance that you will break the zipper due to the stress of the expanded LoveSac inside the duffel. I suppose they don't show that because if somebody struggled to get it tied off and took too much time it could expand way too much before they got the zipper closed. they were supposed to innovate and come up with a better shrink kit but they never did. I've moved a few times with my super sack and the second time I used the shrink kit I wasn't able to get it to fully fit in the duffel so it kind of did this muffin top thing but it was enough to get me to quickly move it to the new place and pop it back out. I think it would be better if they sold this kit with a large netting that would take the shape of a cube that you could continue to retighten as the vacuum shrunk the sack because even with two people it's hard to get into that cube form.
I see a lot of people that shove it inside the actual bag and I have plastic foam bags. So you’re saying put it on the fabric? That’s the only thing I’m wondering?
Are your sac's cheaper and what's your guarantee for the life of the sac? Is the Ultimate Sac better and cheaper than Lovesac? Is their trial date to try the Ultimate Sac like 60 day? You have to purchase before you have a trial period?

It’s been months since I moved out of my mom’s and I’m still haunted by this. I’ve tried multiple times to get it in the duffel bag and failed. Every weekend she asks me when I’m gonna get it out of her house but I just can’t manage to get it in the flippen duffel bag! It’s a flippen nightmare. We are now ordering the mattress bag to see if that’s better

I found it was easier and cheaper to just rent a van that it could fit in and because it is so malleable it was easy to get through any doorway. Saved me $175 for the shrink kit.

Thought I was doing something wrong. No, it’s just impossibly difficult and no household vacuum can handle the amount of pressure this needs. Rep told me to order a size up bc the size for my bag was out of stock, and the amount of excess plastic makes it impossible to use. God this sucks.
This is not an easy task! We used a shop vac and wrestled with this thing for four hours. 2 men and myself. We finally took it to the car wash and used one the vacs there. Once at the carwash, we were able to get it inside the duffle bag within 20 minutes.

I recently bought this garbage "shrink kit". What a waste of money. 50 bucks for plastic bags, completely ruining your vacuum and not working at all in the end. If this is the best solution you can come up with to pack a lovesac then consider this my last lovesac purchase.
Also don’t jump on it and do dumb crap like they show in this video. That will just tear thin crappy plastic bags they give you. Just be patient. Let it suck the air and get flat on one side like the video. Then flip and do another side. Rinse and repeat until it’s small enough for the duffle.

Tip close a zip tie around the vacuum nozzle where you’re twisting it!!! Saved me and my dad after 3 hours of yelling
