Well Europa would be a correct way of calling the continent. Not really sure why British and Americans call it Europe, but they twist and turn every single foreign word how they please anyway so 🤷🏻♂️
Here's a fun fact that blew my mind. Even with all of those spiky protrusions, the surface of Europa is smoother than the surface of a cue ball. It's just so much larger in scale that we see "imperfections". I've read a few of Arthur C Clarke's novels, and 2061 was a favorite, as it explained a lot about Europa. Funny,, but Clarke's science fiction seems to become fact over time. And I have no doubt his "Europans" are eeking out a hardscrabble life in the very alien oceans of the Jovian system. The one disappointing fact is that Jupiter will probably never turn into Lucifer as in Clarke's novels, but we can still hope. I'd bet serious money on finding complex life here. Thanks again SEA for another wonderful video.
The idea of Europa having life I think is scary as it brings up one of the crutches of Fermi's Paradox. That life is not super uncommon and therefor complex life may be more likely elsewhere. So, if it exist, the great barrier may be ahead of us
Imagine going ice-fishing on a moon, that would be crazy. Tho more likely if we ever go there we would drill into the ocean and have a underwater station like on earth with pipelines to pockets of oxygen to filter it.
The list of songs in the order they appeared is in the description near the bottom! They all came from the UA-cam Audio Library which is a really handy tool for channels like this one!
The factoid about Europa being heavier than all the smaller moons in the solar system combined reminds me that this is an intriguing pattern. There seem to be a lot of things in this solar system that are heavier than all smaller things combined. The Earth, for example, is heavier than everything else in the inner solar system combined -- Venus, Mars, Mercury, our Moon, Mars' moons, and the asteroid belt. And Jupiter is heavier than everything else in the _entire_ solar system combined, except for the sun of course.
The reason the inner planets are less than the earth is because of Jupiter, which collected most of the rock material for planets with it, leaving less to form the four planets. Mars and Mercury have very small masses and the scale is somewhat exponential which contributes to why this pattern emerges!
I don’t actually game that much, I knew about the reference because a lot of people told me about it after the Io video! I have a gaming laptop now and I’m starting to play more games so I might check it out soon!

bro i swear i thought i was hallucinating when destiny footage played in the preview of your video
Baš volim tvoj kanal, i kako praviš video priče, zaista, kvalitetan i zanimljiv, uvjek.
I saw this in my recommended section and I thought it said Europe, I was very confused.
Europe is pronounced Europa in most Germanic speaking countries. So imagine my confusion reading just the title.
Heisenberg same😂
@@Delta-nl7pi Same in japanese lol
Heisenberg Dude same
Well Europa would be a correct way of calling the continent. Not really sure why British and Americans call it Europe, but they twist and turn every single foreign word how they please anyway so 🤷🏻♂️
I'm blown away by the quality of this video. Nice work.
1:49 - that’s a really outdated photo of Pluto.
That's the least of the problems. lmfao Why is it in a picture of moons?
@@ER.Drones Mercury is also in the picture. It wasn't meant to show only moons, but the size of Europa compared to similar celestial objects.
So, if it exist, the great barrier may be ahead of us
I’m glad yt recommendations showed this cause of Destiny but I also REALLY love space stuff!! Subscribed ❤️
Imagine going ice-fishing on a moon, that would be crazy. Tho more likely if we ever go there we would drill into the ocean and have a underwater station like on earth with pipelines to pockets of oxygen to filter it.
Very enjoyable & interesting, awesome report! Thank you so much SEA.
Fantastic. Love your videos. What is the music for this one from?
The list of songs in the order they appeared is in the description near the bottom! They all came from the UA-cam Audio Library which is a really handy tool for channels like this one!
This is favorite space channel
i learned more than my science teachers did
The factoid about Europa being heavier than all the smaller moons in the solar system combined reminds me that this is an intriguing pattern.
I mean I too would be intrigued by a moon if it had remnants of the Golden Age on it
Man these videos are great for watching while playing games or while trying to sleep (which normally takes a while)
You do an amazing job with the explanation and the visuals, i always wait for your videos it's simply the best. Keep up the amazing work you do.
Thank you very much! :)
Decided to look back at your channel after a few years, and this is way better than documentaries about some random gd drama.
I’d like to see a video about Enceladus in the future. It’s really intriguing, especially for its small size.
You must watch THE EUROPA REPORT. It's an excellent movie about astronauts who goes there
Yes that film is class.
Grwat movie
I love it when two passions happen to intertwine. I love destiny and I love space. :)
"ALL THESE WORLDS ARE YOUR EXCEPT EUROPA, ATTEMPT NO LANDING THERE"...USE THEM TOGETHER, USE THEM IN PEACE".....2010
Hopped on Destiny 2 last year went to Europa to get that sweet sweet stasis subclass
Are u actually a fan of destiny? I've been meaning to ask u this. Great video.
I don’t actually game that much, I knew about the reference because a lot of people told me about it after the Io video! I have a gaming laptop now and I’m starting to play more games so I might check it out soon!
@@SEA Definitely check the game out. It's quite enjoyable. Cheers.
Also please consider making a video on Andromeda. I have not found any good video on it on UA-cam.
I made a video on andromeda a couple of years ago which you should be able to find on my Out of this World playlist or Ultimate Space Playlist. It is very old and back when I was y very good at making videos but there’s info there!
ua-cam.com/video/h6JH_ed1zus/v-deo.html this is the link!
This was so much more interesting than I expected, thank you for making this video so damn enjoyable while also being so informative
Congrats on Leeds getting promoted
Love that 💜 🟦⬜️🟨
@22:34 "What else could exist?!", "WTF CAN exist?" other than life? This is a scary paranormal metaphysical channel. Loving it!
I'd revive the USSR just to have another space race.
Nevermind all the people that were k*lled right? 🙄
Ugh, I love this!
i love how it starts with destiny 2 😊
it makes me feel like bungie couldve done a better job i wouldve liked to see giant ice spikes and underwater buildings in the ocean
7:31 I wonder if this was the inspiration for Alien's movie art cover? It looks almost the same and the movie came out in 1979 just like the image.
