It’s honestly common sense

Still one of the best people I've ever had a beer with Larry Bird. I'll never forget you Embassy Suites Downtown Orlando
Damn what an honor

Hahaha I'm laughing way to hard at this one😂
Tell bird to shoot it and hit top back board otherwise this is the result lmao😊

He actively tried to do a bad shot for the camera, but it has nothing to do with his levels of confidence in this situation, it was all skill with muscle memory; he was being humble and that's why this scene is so likable.
Other scenes of him talking trash right before he nails the shot, in the game... Now that's him displaying confidence. But either way he excelled at the game.
A great time of basketball when Larry played! Miss those days.

Larry had a genius coach to help and guide him
Larry had the ability to make any coach look good
Larry had basketball IQ before they called it basketball IQ. This guy was a 6 ft 9 in small forward. Back in the late 70s early 80s. Every player was great on that team because of Larry Bird. Guys like him, Dr j, magic Johnson, and Kareem inspired Michael Jordan who inspired this generation and the one before it.

@@miamimercenary9623The only players definitely better than him all time are LeBron/ Jordan tied between #1 and #2 and Kareem at #3. When bird was at this age he was unstoppable

@@Krisjunk2671 yea i always heard he was a menace
Bird was one of the toughest, roughest and smartest NBA player of all time. He makes grown men cry by burying three point after three points after three points.
I've heard Gary Payton and Dominique Wilkins and plenty of other greats describe Larry Bird as anything but classy in the heat of battle, lol. This is the same man who asked black players why their head coach thought it was a good idea to have a white guy try to guard him, and then after scoring on the white defender 3 straight times, would look over at the other teams coach and say "you better sub in someone else for him before I score 50 on him before half time". 😆😆
Off the court? Yes. On the court? Never
Even When Larry just chucks the ball he still gets a perfect swish

Great player and did you see how much he was dedicated to training growing up? What a legend.
Soul purpose was to be a basketball legend
Such an unconventional form but it worked so beautifully for Larry. One of my favorite players to see clips of his game
I actually think the shot he demonstrated is how Jokic shoot his shots...
Actually, if you look at his shot from the top to the release, it’s pure and perfect. Also a super fast release.
He just shot a little side cocked.
this clip is from a series, here red is asking larry to demonstrate the wrong form. Bird says he won't be able to control if his release is too far back. he drains it anyway because he can't miss on purpose
@@mozdaboz there's...alot of similarities between bird and jokic...from the flashy passes to the high arcing jumpers, great rebounders, being able to either play hybrid between a shooter and a post up player, and the occassional "how the fuck he made that" kind of shots.
