Never been a fan of eel personally. Not sure what puts me off, maybe the frankenstein stitch look with all the pieces lol. But love the cognac color and they definitely take a nice shine to them. Thanks for the review
Always cool seeing a video with you and your brother! From afar those boots kinda look like a nice polished wood like a fancy desk very cool, still a very nice looking leather and boot!
@NeilMcLaren, I have had a pair of eel skins for over 8 years without much upkeep at all. They are kept in a box and conditioned them every year or two. I have used a cleaner 2 - 3 times since last year. They keep their shine. Try not to get them from rainy weather, though. 👢 👢 👢
"Dress(y) Shiny Dress Boot" , isn't a dirty four letter word. :D ;-) Point being, these boots look FANTASTIC and I'd love that look when hanging out at Sci Fi conventions(well back in the day when I could attend such safely). I'd love to wear them dressed like a Steampunk Soldier(Think Lionel Jeffries character Grandfather Potts in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". That would be either khaki or olive drab color slacks.

I'm new to cowboy boots, I recently bought a pair of double h square toe and they fit great. I tried on a round toe but couldn't get my foot in them at my normal size I want to buy a pair of smooth ostrich tecovas round toe but have no idea what size to buy . I live in PA and I'm limited to boot barn and a couple saddle shops with limited boots neither of them where very helpful. Should I go try to find a round toe at boot barn that fits me and order that size online from Tecovas
So what I've seen done is take a pair of shoestrings and wrap around the upper to bring it closer to your leg and not show through the pants, eventually you won't need to do it anymore once it breaks in, hope it works for you

That boot can really grow on me. It does have a "Franken-weenie" stitch to it, but it is uniform and sets off the boot to be away from others.

Those boots are looking good , they probably last longer than you think . If their discontinued it's probably better quality !

Get different jeans, get a pair made for cowboy boots
The jeans I wear with boots are all either boot cut or straight from wrangler Cody james etc. thanks for the reply
