this is the best breakdown channel. i wish MGK fans had the lyrical understanding to break down these flows. if they did, they would know how bad Eminem killed MGK in both of his flows.

He's a DJ around here now bc his girl is from here but we've had convos about hip hop a few times. I wish you coulda seen his face when this white girl here started pulling out names like rakim and Nas and Elzhi and big L and papoose and Sean price etc. You woulda thought I came from outer space the way he looked at me and then he got all hyped about it. Ok, am I crazy? When Em said, “you got juice, lol youngin’, you buggin’,” I immediately noticed a connection between “bug,” “young,” and “juice.” When I was young, there was a juice called “bug juice,” and I always got it at gas stations when my parents would allow it. I really take it as Em using a hyperbole to show how inexperienced and naive he is. Kids are generally unintelligent and inexperienced. And you’d have to be unintelligent to think you can stand up to Em. I haven’t seen anywhere on the internet anybody making that connection, and I know that I’m not particularly ahead of people when it comes to lyric breakdowns. Also, side note: saying “lil” before “youngin’” groups MGK I’m with mumble rappers before any of the real beef started to pop off. I thought this was clever propaganda. Throwing him into a negative stereotype right off the bat. Well played.

Straight savage. Bout time XD royce wasn't "off beat" he was using his syllable count to match the beat in a polyrhythmic pattern which is INSANE.. I don't think you all know how savage that is and how much brain power you need to feel comfortable to even stay on rhythm.in a polyrhythmic pattern. Drummers know... that shit is no joke. Danny Carey does this in his drum patters as well.
I personally LOVE the random words thrown in for the hook makes me laugh every time. Totally destroys all these mumble rappers into showing how easy & equally stupid they all sound with their ‘skills’ in how they rhyme in their songs. A lot of what they rap about makes little to no sense, & I think the whole ‘we are not alike’ is the true rappers in the game vs the terrible mumble rap artists

The flow on "I respond rarely" is just out of this world. Easily one of his best flows imho, got me hooked the second I heard it.

There isn't a point on the entire album where they're "off beat". Rappin' doesn't need to happen strictly to the beat. It's also a line of percussion itself and can act with the beat or counter or become a beat line on its own within the parameters of a song and still fall within the measures and time signature that govern the song's structure. It's actually pretty genius. The same reasons Revival is genius. Eminem and Royce have abilities I do not often see in rap and definitely never to that level. The use of literary device coupled with the many styles of flow make Eminem in particular and Royce pretty unbeatable. I love how they go off like a drum doing double kick, triplets and spittin' verse with allusion, double and triple entendres like it's nothing for them.
These breakdowns never fail to blow my mind. Keep up the great work, man!

23:27 is corny if you miss the connection with the next bar, then it becomes clever. The next bar continues by pronouncing “nothin” as “nuttin” since “sucking” and “dicks” usually have “nuttin” in common
