    So glad I found your channel. I have bicep tendonopathy (front of the shoulder) and I think an AC joint issue “weight lifters shoulder”. Still waiting for X-ray confirmation. I’ve been binge watching your vids, and will be incorporating this stuff into my routine. Cheers.

    This video was on my birthday, 2 years ago, and was right before i started getting evaluated for rotator cuff issues. I wound up doing rehab and shots in late 2019 , on into 2020 with no progress. Surgery was in july 2020, one large hole, and vertical manipulation by surgeon, and 4 screws later, and i am still recovering. I doubt that i did enough rehab before surgery, but its not really something you can gauge, since surgeons get paid to cut you open, not heal you beforehand. My advice, is that if you have a physical job, like construction, factory, plumber, route delivery etc., plan on 6 months to a year for recovery. If you tap on a computer for a living, you will be good to go at about 6 weeks, even if its a bad tear.

      Hope you are doing good! Did you recovered completely from rehab after surgery?

    I’ve just had a 7mm full thickness tear of the supraspinatus and and pursuing PRP treatment. Sadly none of the doctors have recommended intelligent, methodical PT as you have provided in this outstanding video. Well done and thanks so very much!

      Did you recovered without surgery? Does tendon grow and attach it back on its own with full tear?

    The biggest pain in the %(#$# about shoulder problems is figuring out what to start with & exercise progression so this is very helpful. Thanks.

    Do you find theraband problematic as the tension/load increases as the band is stretched but at the same time, the muscle is weaker as it goes into inner range.

    • @physiorehab
      @physiorehab  5 років тому

      Acutally you have it round the wrong way. The muscle gets STRONGER as it shortens / inner range

    how would you work on improving flexion?

    • @mp757
      @mp757 3 роки тому

      stand on your feet in a neutral position and neutral spine. start flexing both hands upward with external rotation palms facing up when you reach the end range stop deep abdominal breath with 3-sec hold and with release turn palms facing down and try to pull your humerus (upper arm bone) out of shoulder socket hold end range again 3 sec with deep abdominal breath and then with release very slowly move your arms back to starting position a bit shake off and repeat 2-3 more times. 5 times a week and you will see improvement very soon. always keep full awareness and control of the full movement with breathing.

    are you ever going to do something about the volume on your videos. I actually like to play one through to the end without gettting irritated by not being able to hear you seconds in and turning it off
