SiraTone Chimes Test

Test of the chimes on the SiraTone. This time running at full power with drivers and horns. I'm using dual 200W drivers for a total of 400W drivers, so essentially double the power of a 1212 in one direction. It's decently loud in chimes, but it's way louder running actual warning signals. I was too scared to even try running a normal signal after blasting the neighborhood with chimes lol. Maybe next time.

I tried to make out the what the sticker on the aux tone module says in a couple of your other videos but couldn't. I know it is a TM12 module that says "Westminster Chime Tone Module". I have been trying to figure out if A1 or A2 (or if there is another series) is the full length chime. Can you make out what the series is on the sticker or do you know off hand?

The sticker is the same for both versions of the chimes. I have a half chime card with the same sticker and all the other ones I’ve seen are just alike. It’s just Westminster Chimes Tone Module TM12 Series A2

The only way you can tell them apart is to take the cover off and see if it’s missing a jumper. If the jumper is gone, it’s a full chime card

Thank you so much for this information! I'm curious if the card can be converted back and forth then with said jumper, I'll just have to get one and find out. I've been wanting to get that authentic SiraTone chime sound for a while now, for now I'll have to settle with it in my SelecTone. Does the pitch shift pot affect the pitch of the aux tone in the SiraTone? I'm thinking of trying to figure out how the signal is generated, I assume it is some sort very low level signal or some other signal that controls another tone generator on the main board, though I could be wrong.

@@Science759 TM12 uses a melody IC. I think it’s a 7910O for half chimes. You use a series of resistors and capacitors to set the timing and what not for it. It’s fixed from the factory. Unfortunately you can’t get full chimes out of a half chime card because the melody IC is different between them. My full card doesn’t even have ID numbers on the chip.
