Hi Alex, this is so perfect for those historic/vintage music clips where you want to take the viewer back in time...absolutely love this, thank you again
The fact I've only been a subscriber for less than a year, means there is a treasure trove of videos inspiring me to experiment. A belated thanks for uploading Alex.
I just appreciate how you always show what you're going to teach us, like you inform the watcher in the beginning about what they're about to learn👍👍 I really like that!
You've just saved my life. Thinking of dabbling with Davnici but am no where near able to buy the full version - this was the kind of effects I want to experiment with! Thank you so much
Super cool thank you. Using studio and tried running the analog damage over the adjustment clip already done from this tutorial and created quite a cool effect together too. Thanks Alex.
Yeah certainly! I did originally plan to just change the Timeline framerate to 16 for this effect, but that becomes difficult when you only want a small section to be 'film'. That's where the Stop Motion came in handy instead :)
Hi Alex. I applied all the FXS in your video and things look great. How can I save the settings and apply them to different clips. Do you have a video on that? Thanks.
Very nice , thank you for sharing tips and tricks on video editing . You help me a lot. On my videos . Just started and Still learning from your videos . Keep it up 👍
Fantastic tutorial MrAlexTech (at least)! And I like the new studio lighting. Quick question - do you use an external drive for your DR database(s) or are they stored on your main drive? I wish power bins were universal on whatever drive you happened to be using.
I'm fine with the old film look, and there are plenty of free overlays for various vintage looks, VHS, Super 8 etc. But what about damaged or vintage sound ?
Interesting but and pro editors would create their own LUT. That is best practice. It would be more interesting on showing how to create the LUT itself.
Quick note, if you're using Studio version of Resolve you can skip this entire tutorial and just use Analog Damage and it'll do it all for you 😆
We, free users, appreciate the effort 🙏🏻 great tutorial ❤
Where to find Analog Damage?

Yeah certainly! I did originally plan to just change the Timeline framerate to 16 for this effect, but that becomes difficult when you only want a small section to be 'film'. That's where the Stop Motion came in handy instead :)

Lovely tutorial. Could you also do a smooth shutter offset roll transition?
Yeah. Would be easy enough using Fusion to create a Transition preset 👍
Amazing- thank you!
I can't find film damage unfortunately in the free version anymore. Is there any other option?
Hi Alex. I applied all the FXS in your video and things look great. How can I save the settings and apply them to different clips. Do you have a video on that? Thanks.

Good job alex thank you. Great effect. Can you do the same with the "dream flashback" effect with the free version of DV?
I'm sure you could yeah. There's a 'Glow' effect that would work well. I'll see what I can do :)
Fantastic tutorial MrAlexTech (at least)! And I like the new studio lighting. Quick question - do you use an external drive for your DR database(s) or are they stored on your main drive? I wish power bins were universal on whatever drive you happened to be using.

Nowt wrong with a bit of 'decorating' now and again.....! 😄
Gr8 vid. Can do the effect for where there is multiple shots. Example is in the destined for greatness music video. Have like curved rectangle things
Yeah the adjustment clip will just apply the effect to anything underneath it on the timeline. That's how I did the intro 🙂👍
hey bro i can't find memories luts even I'm using da vinchi 19..
Hey Alex, Can you upload for us how to make better call saul intro in fusion please ?
Wish I discovered this two weeks ago! (11/2/23)
go for a advance effect cuz your tutorial absolutely awesome than others.[ Like the effects which are all used in the cinema kinda that]......
Interesting but and pro editors would create their own LUT. That is best practice. It would be more interesting on showing how to create the LUT itself.
WHAT MUSIC IS IT?, PLEASE

You can’t use film damage cuz you need to buy the studio version ?!
