Yes! Totally agree. The TikTok I signed up for in my senior year of college (early 2018) was a fun escape like this. I mostly stopped using TikTok in late 2022 since it got annoying beyond belief with dumb and disturbing trends and deleted the app entirely about a year ago.
Definitely prerecorded for many, and some post processing before using the video to "duet". 100% not raw, at least a good chunk of them, way too crisp, that's for sure, but still props to them.
