No they don't have any total power storage memory, they only judge the charge based on the cell voltage. However you are correct some batteries have a current meter that count the amount of power going into the cell and then count the power going out to estimate the remaining charge.

Greetings, the Garmin Nuvi 3598LM qualifies for free lifetime maps from Garmin. So you need to do two things First use GarminWebUpdater.exe to reinstall all the missing system software Second you need to use GarminMapUpdater.exe to re-download the latest maps to the GPS. Thank you

i deleted the system file. It's not connecting to the pc. it's going on and of automatically
