Chasing the P&W Two Rivers Steam Excursion! 10/30/16

Before I say anything, huge thanks to Aidan (Zeffers716) for driving me everywhere that day.
So on the Sunday of 10/30/16, I took Amtrak down to New London, where I met up with Aidan. We hung around locally for a bit, then moved to our first spot, at the USS Nautilus. We then chased him to Old Saybrook, avoiding major traffic on I-95. In Old Saybrook, the Providence & Worcester power was swapped out with Valley Railroad's 2-8-2 Steam locomotive NH 3025. We then moved north to a location known as the Freedom Boat Club. Thanks to a photo stop in Chester, we were able to beat it to Hadlyme. We then moved south to Deep River Landing, as the train would run around and head south at Goodspeeds. While awaiting the southbound run of the excursion, we see Valley RR #40 running light first north by Deep River Landing, then south, then north again, only this time, it would wait on the siding for the excursion to pass by. After catching it at Deep River Landing, we chased it towards Essex. After being screwed by a few red lights, we barely made it in time for the southbound run in Essex. Unfortunately, that would be as far as we chased it, because I had to catch my train back up north. Thanks for watching and enjoy!
