They do auditions to find young persons, some of them start at 12 or 13 years old, and sometimes even younger. If they have talent, they are accepted in the agency and start being "trainees", it's some kind of art academy because they have a lot of classes to learn how to sing, rap, dance, basically they learn how to be an idol (that's how a K-pop star is called, an idol). It's very VERY hard, we heard testimony from Blackpink themselves and from other idols. Some of them can't handle the rough agenda or the strict diets and just quit (that's the part I'm against the most, they shouldn't put them on a diet to reach unhealthy body weights just because of old beauty standards).
I mean BP is the TOP kpop girl group so you're setting your standards for Kpop a little bit too high from the get-go. I can confirm there are a LOT of 🔥 songs from other Kpop groups, but BLACKPINK is just different man.
