good video, it is only missing how to mount the software on the KVM using the: virtual media -- > activate virtual devices --- > map CD/DVD --- > select the ISO software to be mount (the one selected later in the video)
wow man, you helped me a lot. today i was having this class and got all confused for lack of expirience but thanks to you, i got it now. wish you were my teacher. thanks again.
At 2:29 you say download to somewhere you can easily find. But you never say how to get the file to the location where it allows you to boot to it (at location 4:58).
Yeah I just tried my upgrade tonight and I was like what the hell will you didn’t tell us how to map the software to the area where the machine will boot it from kvm. I would go back and re-record that section.
Interesting video. I can't help but notice that following the upgrade, you now have a "Overall Storage Status: Moderate Fault". Things didn't go that well?
When you do power off server , what happen to the appliances , does we need to shut down them before firmware upgrade , i did it by shut down the application and hypervsior .
If anyone is having trouble with their KVM loading, you have to make sure to use Java 7u21. Additionally, I had to edit the viewer.jnpl file using notepad and change the username and password

You have to map the image file using the KVM Console under Virtual Media.
Thank you for clarifying!

I’m having trouble getting this version of Java installed. Any tips?
just as FYI, the older servers use Java and Flash to run the IMC, newer servers are HTML5 based,
