I’m a disabled veteran in Ohio trying to move I’m in hudvash but want out of the program. Our housing failed structural inspection in Cincinnati and we can’t find housing. We want to be close to family in ga but want anywhere in Florida.

Maybe in other videos that claim veteran centric cities discuss the veteran resources in each city. That was missing from the video. Nothing at all about veterans. Also just an FYI but Gainesville is home of U of F with a huge sports scene and college town attributes. Also Tampa does not have beaches. St Pete is a very separate and different city with its own vibrant downtown.
I mean I could go into each resource for each city but let’s be honest that can be massive and should be its own video.
What do you think about Lakeland I heard there was a big VA clinic opening there soon.
Yea Lakeland had started to make real progress on neighborhoods. I don’t mind it and it’s nice because you are closer to Tampa but still not crazy far from Orlando. Taking the 4 to go either way though may be annoying at times. But happy to help you in detail if you ever need it.
@LivinginFloridaAAF appreciate you getting back to me so soon. I am very interested in Florida and further more a more affordable city. So a couple on your list would be out totally agree with you on Miami. Trying to stay away from flood zones because I hear insurance is getting costly and harder to find a agent.
@@ryanmorrissey9771 SO flood insurance in the coming years is something you wont be able to avoid here. affordability is not somwthing I would say florida is known for anymore unless away from major cities by minimum an hour potentially 2.
@LivinginFloridaAAF great to know about insurance makes sense I have been hearing the same lately about affordability going up as well, was curious if you meant housing or overall cost of living, or both I am also coming from a town in Massachusetts so inperspective I believe Florida may still be attractive but you would know better?🤔
Really overall cost-of-living. I’d say in the last year it’s plateaued a little bit but insurance is an ever-changing thing and they’re trying to push legislature to fix certain things.
