- More than 280 Nigerian school pupils have been abducted in the town of Kuriga, officials say.
It’s the second mass kidnapping in the West African nation this week.
Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu said he was "confident that the victims will be rescued".
Kidnap gangs - known as bandits - have seized thousands of people in recent years, especially the north-west.

Unfortunately it sounds like kidnappings in nigeria are religiously motivated which could mean there is political protection. It would be difficult for outsider coutries to try and help. There is definitely political protection for the religion that does this.
