    Oh my gosh Sista, how beautiful. Especially the views from your room. Breathtaking. Always wanted to go there. I hear you about being alone. I work 12 hr days every day, working with technicians & the public sometimes 6 days a week. Oh my God I would give anything to be there right now. Sorry you were forgotten by the original cruise you signed up for. I've got to say though, the cruise you are on now looks pretty awesome. Take care sis & God bless.

    You looked relaxed. I remember going on the cheapest boats and I loved it. We jumped off the roofs and dived into the water and also saw those glowing plankton things.

      Yes I thought about doing that but the 3 hour drive back and forth made me want to not do a day trip. But I saw videos on that and it looked fun! I wanted to do something similar in Phuket Thailand but covid ruined those plans.

    Awwww you're such a trooper rolling with the change in cruise ships, bummer the mishap happened with the La Regina. But wow, the accommodations looked lux and the views gorgeous. Especially the view from the bed with the doors open 👌💆‍♀️! I would opt for just chilling with bathrobe on and doors open staring at and listening to nature. But then again it was good you did some activities. The kayaking looked low key. So glad for you that this vacation was relaxing and lone wolf, work hard then enjoy your pay off 👍!

      Yes work hard, play hard.🤙 The views from the room were definitely gorgeous and I've never seen something like that. The camera doesn't do the water justice. It's like an emerald green. Have a great week!

      Thanks so much! That is exactly what I wanted to convey, especially for those who are unable to travel, but also for those that might want to go to these places and have tips. Unfortunately many are not as open-minded or interested in other places, including some states in the US. Although Hawaii is my home, there is much more to the world than Hawaii.

    Aloha Misty - we gotta say we were quite upset for you about what happened regarding the tour reservations but we are so glad that overall the cruise (although short) turned out to be a great experience from beginning to end (despite all the crazy planned excursions - we would've opted out too and enjoyed the balcony as well). The room was beautiful and the balcony was stunning with the views. Palawan in the Philippines also has amazing limestone formations but we can't recall if they do any cruises so this cruise on Halong Bay was awesome to watch!! Thank you for bringing us along and so sorry the Lay's Korean Spicy Chicken with Cheese was a thumbs down from the smell to the taste!!

    That's one of the best buffets I've seen so far for a cruise ship! I'd be all over the seafood and eat until I burst. The rest of the meals looked great as well. And wow, you got that cruise for dirt cheap compared to others I've seen that had worse cruises. And your room was nice with amazing views from your bed/balcony. I think if you want to get away from the crowds, you have to do the 2-night cruises and go with IndoChina Junk (they have their own island and you get to go on a picnic/lunch on there).

    • @FoodFiend
      @FoodFiend  Рік тому +1

      No worries! The food and transportation to and from the boat were included. What isn't included is drinks such as soda and alcohol. So I would buy from the store across the street. They don't have a rule about bringing outside food and drink onto the boat.

    Ok, this one had waaayyyy too much tourist lol As you might know, I deal with a lot of people on a daily basis at my job and I would definitely prefer alone time during any vacation. Speaking of which, how come Aiden didn't go with you? Anyway, the scenery was beautiful, but it seems like the only way to have any peace and quiet would be in your room, which would be fine with me. And so cheap! No can find that kine prices anywhere else. Sucks that you didn't get the cruise you wanted, but this one was nice, minus the crowd and considering there wasn't any other option. Happy 4th of July too you also Misty!

    • @FoodFiend

      Yes being on the balcony was so peaceful. So was kayaking. Aiden didn't go because he spends part of the summer with his dad on the mainland. He got to go to Disneyworld and Universal Studios right after the east coast trip. Lucky guy. He's back home now though. He wouldn't eat half the stuff anyway. He's kind of a picky eater.

      The Pearl Farms stops are like jewelry stores 'breaks" on Thailand tours.
      We visited Pearl Farms in Tahiti that was interesting because they actually "seeded" an oyster hoping it'll result in pearls.
      They told us very few pearls are perfectly round.
      Looking forward to more of Vietnam !!!
