Been grabbing my thumb for 10+ meters dives head first for 40 years. But as I grab the my left hand thumb with my right hand, the left hand also grabs the fingers of the right hand.
Hi, Jim! I am a high schooler who just started diving and up to today I am still quiet afraid to jump off the platform but watching your video really did made me feel much more confident. And now I think I will no longer think about quitting the team because I am scared. Thank you so much and keep up the good content!
Glad to know the technique I learned over 15 years ago is the correct one. One of my instructors would say the way most people think, like palms facing and flat pointed to the water, is bad because once you hit the water the force spreads your hands and your head takes most of the force.
Hi, Jim! Thanks for the information you deliver with your videos. Long ago i was visiting swimming pool 5 times a week and jumped off all platforms and spring boards. A lot of things, your team and you show, is well known and nearly forgotten. I always grabbed my thumb of the left hand with my right hand. We newer knew of other ways of doing this. The topic of you channel is about brave people. Having subscribed, and hit the like button i wish you and your team a million subscribers soonest!
I've always used a swimmers dive as I was on the jv swim team in HS. Since I've been in my 20s, I've done cliff jumps from as high as 15M, now doing back layouts from 7M. I shall use the correct grip from now as I do 5M dives np, so with the correct grip and practice, I shall perfect the 7M dive this summer as well. Thanks, Jim!!
@@watermagic_fun but I get way first that him and I comment and like the video first when I reach it only had one comment and that comment was your comment
That last entry sounded very painful. I hope you and your family are safe and you find a new place to practice and perform. It would be such a shame if you are unable to practice. Did all your friends make it out safely? So very sad. I really enjoy your videos and hope you’re able to continue.
Thanks, i didn't knew why my head hurt everytime when i was trying first hands dive It seems that my problem was that I have usually used method 2#, which was not a good idea 😅
Awesome videos! Can you please do a video explaining how to do a simple head dive from about a 20' cliff? I keep doing feet 1st dive off of Black Rock in Maui, but that is getting boring and I'm afraid to do it head first.
I just want to thank Jim for inspiring me to try diving. When I was younger I was scared to jump off the diving board, but know I’m confident in my skill, thanks to all the water magic videos. Thanks💦🤿💧
I have no training - as a kid I would bring my hands together with thumbs interlocked and both hands flat and pointed toward the water - is that good or bad way ?
I dont dive but my sister does from the block for special olympics. Whats the easiest way to teach her not to just plop into the water belly smack or go too deep?
I know you can’t film at your pool anymore (or probably anywhere you can dive from) so I just want to see whatever cool water videos you can make wherever you are now
No Peter Pan one arm out one leg bent entry? This list is not comprehensive enough! 😁 I'd like to see you and your crew do joke dives off the 1 meter springboard 😄
Want to see what to do underwater to get no splash? Comment below!💦😝
Yes plsss
Yes yes yes yes please

Благодаря ти. Ще се радвам ако има повече обучителни клипове с обяснение и демонстрации!
Ty! Before finding your tutorial, I had experimented (painfully)with the swimmer position. Now I have a much better understanding on the right way
Thank you, I actually do the last way because I've seen them do it on TV and Im good at imitating things I see (aside from the crazy flips of course!)

First to watch and love the videos you do Jim keep up the good work !!!!!
I do a modification of the swim dive. I doubt it would be helpful above 3m. hands are flat but side by side.
