Yeah very happy with it. Haven't had a chance to use it on a proper ride as yet due to a crazy work schedule but will be making new content in February..
Sounds pretty good eh! Great fun to watch the two camera POV setup with narration - would love that helmet cam to be a bit higher to see fully over the screen. 25 volume setting seems to be the one!
I know what you mean.. the helmet cam view is not as high as it could be. I'll make it a bit higher but then it gets into my field of view which is not what you want.
Great review, I'd suggest maybe putting the mic to the side of your mouth/helmet to stop the pops and it clipping. This avoids your breath going directly into the mike and you can bring up the levels in your DAW later on. Not sure if you can escape the turbulence with the visor open. The video playback is really good. I love those roads you are on and the lookout especially. Nice place to relax for a pie and drink mid ride :)
Why do you say it's a bad idea? I've had zero issues so far and with it's long battery life and tiny size to fit in the helmet it's a perfect match IMO..
The did you have the engine also mic'ed? Brent Peason did a good video recently with the same equipment and had a seperate engine/pipe track. Your results seemed good in the end,
Nice video. What camera mount are you using on your LS2? I’m running the DJI one with straps which means I can’t close the visor. I’m not keen on the 3D printed stick on ones. Maybe the clamp on chin one from DJI? Is that what you’re using?
I 3d printed a mount. It's available on Thingyverse. I'll get a link for you. Or if ya want I can print you one if your ok to give me a address to send it..
@ thanks for the reply. That’s ok, I got a 3D printer and happy to design a mount, but not sold on PLA+ as the material as that’s all I have at the moment. What filament did you use and has it held up well?
I use PETG easier to print than ABS and won't degrade in the sun like PLA. Search Thingyverse or Printables for LS2 and you might be able to adapt it to fit your helmet.
The OsmoAction4 can only connect wirelessly to one microphone at a time. If you use the MicMini receiver and then the 3.5mm jack cable then yes you could but that means a cable connection between the receiver and the camera.
how's the mic when you turn off the osmo camera, does it auto connect when you press the record again? is there a wait time where you have to speak again to the mic?
You can have the mic auto power off but Ive opted to just leave it on. Then you can still use the quick shot so it just reconnects. It does take a few seconds but that's ok.
this is what i want , great video

I've managed to do this. Have t tested on the road yet. I'm hoping it'll help with the wind when the visors open..
I've been thinking of going this way. But I just brought 3 DJI action 3's while they were on sale.. so maybe next year
I'll be moving on my old wireless Rhode mics which do work well.
Dont buy mic mini for osmo action its bad idea

That moustache is a bit on the risky side LOL Heil 😆
Yeah it's all about the colour.. Im getting old and hair doesn't grow the same anymore..
@ADVRydrBloke yeah, my beard is all patchy. Thought about dyeing it .

Nah only had the helmet mic on. I do have a new pipe on the big AT which is allot louder than the stock one ..
If you go in your camera settings you can change the mic gain settings I use my at -11 if you look up on UA-cam plenty videos show how to
Thanks I'll have a look.

How does it feel inside the helmet? Does it bother or touch your lips?
The wind sock tickles my chin a bit .
