Dude especially when people wear shoes on their bed. Ugh. Disgusting
do people actually do that....ew..
That's when you realise you need help
When I went to a few ex-friends’ houses, they often let me sit on their bed regardless. I cringe when they assume it’s okay to be in my bed in their clothes that have been outside.
Just ‘cause you’re cool with me wearing outside clothes on your bed, it doesn’t mean I am. So rude and disrespectful of them to assume it as well, like, does it kill you to ask?
邓红红 i swear my brothers does the same when I am done with outside I need to take a shower ASAP because I don’t like being stinky lol
邓红红 outside clothes? Like you change your whole outfit or just like coat and shoes ?
Dude it makes so much sense to take your shoes off before going inside. They’re literally the dirtiest things, I always take my shoes off after just putting them on when I’ve forgotten something inside too 😂 Stop the squirrel viruses! 😂
Why does it say that it requires payment to watch

Most Americans take their shoes off as well.
Their are other people in other countries who did not grow up in that type of culture who also keep there shoes on so its not just America and also not everyone in America do the same things just the same in other countries

How? I'm Nigerian (raised in the States) and it's definitely not a cultural thing to take your shoes off before you enter your house for Nigerians either. It's determined on a house by house basis for many North American, African, and {western (at least based on the YT videos I've seen)} countries. Now I personally will take my shoes off but in my room. I've also heard of other Americans asking their guest to remove their shoes. It's not only in the U.S.
YEPPP
Yess true
And then let's talk about the fact that from what I've heard many American houses have carpeting so it's extra gross
Yeah, like... The vacuum won't take that off... Do you have a steamer?
My mom took all the carpet in our house out pretty much because it’s gross and when we moved in it was gross from the previous owners though from my experience there are varying amounts of carpet some only have it in bedrooms, some don’t have any, some have it throughout but I’ve mostly seen the first two.
Do other countries... Not?
That's why you use doors mats, have hard floors near the front door and by a good vacuum like a Kirby. Carpets should be shampooed yearly as footwear isn't the the only thing that makes carpet dirty.
And yet they have fluffy pets who easily spread fur.
The Korean guy is correct about the pronouciation of Ikea

@@mexicanmamba1464 Yep some Swede on UA-cam comments mentioned it before. Seriously.

Definitely US against the rest of the entire planet... I ALWAYS take my shoes off when I enter a house. It's common courtesy, politeness and being respectful to your host. And I don't want to bring disgusting germs into my private space :D
Taking off shoes when entering a home is just normal and common courtesy in Norway, too.
strong power thank you Same!!
love your user name
Well I have news for you, my socks have more germs than the bottom of my shoes, because absorbent, sweaty, socks enclosed in a dark place for long periods of time are a far better home for bacteria growth than exposed, dense rubber. Especially if I wear my socks for days before changing them. I will be spreading these bacteria all over your floor for you to enjoy. Or, on the other hand, I can just wear my shoes indoors.
@@rdizzy1 eww, why would u wear the same pair of socks for days?! It's not like socks are expensive! That's gross lol
Anyone else just grow up thinking everyone took their shoes off inside?
yes
Yep
I live in America and when I was very young I thought that but then I saw people not taking shoes off. I always take my shoes off it’s common courtesy
I grew up not knowing people took their shoes off. I also grew up in a old farmhouse with bad wood floors. No shoes meant a lot of splinters.

Do people actually walk around their houses all the time with their shoes? I live in Canada and we absolutely do not do that.
Megan Cara I live in America, my family dosent do that because it’s just plain rude and gross
I think Canadians are more used to generally colder temperatures. Snow and slush tracking in half the year would be completely idiotic. Granted, our nearest southerly neighbours are probably also used to the same issues, but overall represent a much smaller part of the US demographic. Either way, if you want your guests to go without shoes, be a nice host and get a bunch of dollar store slippers to keep near your entrance.
I'm Australian and I wear my shoes inside.
Yes they do it's pretty common in the US.
Same, tbh I'm also Canadian
Personally in my house I wear shoes but when ever I go to someone else's house I always take them off because I don't know how they feel about it

TO EVERYONE DEBATING IF IT'S PRONOUNCED "IKEA" OR "EKEA":
(This is facts stated by me, a born and raised swede btw)The korean "EKEA" is way closer the proper pronunciation of the name than the american/english "IKEA"! In swedish the letter "I" has a different sound than in english (closer to the english "E" sound), and the proper swedish pronunciation would actually be "EHKEEA".
The pressure is on the "ea" part, right?
i k iə ə would be the corect pronunnciation
Then why does their customer service center pronounce it like the white man? I’m genuinely curious, and if two years later I don’t get an answer that’s fine LOL
@@sheenachante The customer serive employe are not trained to pronunce the company name right. For example is swedish customer service on macdonalds dont prenounce macondalds the same way americans do. Wee prenounce it whit a swedich dialect and therefor not corect. So do the customer service prounce ikea whit a american dialec and so, not corect.
@@sheenachante I mean, that obviously depends on what country's customer service center you call. If you call the Swedish customer service center, I promise you they will not pronounce "Ikea" like you pronounce it in English. And when calling an English speaking customer service center they probably pronounce the name in the most commonly used way for spoken English, even if the pronunciation is wrong, because customers to understand what they are saying and the pronunciation of the namne needs to fit/flow well with the rest of what is said, otherwise it honestly just becomes annoying.
In Norway we do the same thing and take of our shoes. When I have my shoes on and need something I crawl to get it 👍🏻😂
Ukrainians to
In Indonesia too
Basically 95% of the world takes of their shoes. It's just USA.
When you're crawling you're still scraping and tapping grime on the floor from your shoes regardless
In Canada...we take off our shoes at the door. I cringe when I watch US shows where the characters put their shoed feet up on furniture

I know the "shoes on" vs "shoes off" debate varies depending on where in the country you are! Many in a place like Minnesota or Alaska will vehemently swear by the "shoes off" rule, while people in places like California or Florida will be on the other side of the debate just as fiercely!

Abby Burkhardt it’s incredibly rude to make someone take their shoes off, especially a worker (handyman, plumber, etc). But it’s COMMON courtesy to take your shoes off so it’s expected in every country other than USA

We're shoes off here in Canada. When I vacationed in Hawaii it's an iron clad rule too. Makes sense as it keeps the red dirt out plus many homes there have bamboo or wood floors. That's why everyone wears sandals there because they're easy to slip off at the door plus bare feet won't harm delicate bamboo floors.

Generally most people here in Canada take their shoes off when getting into the house or someone else place.. Unless they've been told otherwise not too. Which makes sense don't really want to track in the dirt and snow all over the place.
Everybody I’ve met literally ever in America takes there shoes off before going in. I dunno, maybe it’s a southern thing or something, but in New Hampshire most people are normal civilized members of society
Most of the Asian countries follow the same ritual of removing of shoes.Any Asian?😊😘🤣
