A great store concept. When something - for example, magazines - essentially becomes obsolete in today's digital age, it becomes more significant when someone nevertheless chooses to create one.
There is still (and always be) a niche for magazines, but to survive they need to be genuinely unique with an original design, beautiful paper stock, authentic voices, and showcasing people and stories that wouldn't be found elsewhere.
As Mr. Gindap sayes, print isn't dead, but to survive it needs to be better and more specialised.

You totally understand the major reasons why certain titles continue to thrive in the digital age, James! It is very encouraging to know that there are people like you out there who has this kind of mindset :) I am curious whether magazines also have a more personal or emotional connection to you? What are the titles that truly made you fall in love with magazines? @James-In-Exile

Magazines are going out of business and many others are shifting to Quarterly instead of Monthly. Very few Newspapers also. I am just far enough outside of a Major City that I can't buy a copy of the closest regional newspaper. Online is great but it isn't the same.
Thank you for sharing your story.

Love “magazines” like Apartamento. I love Japanese magazines, MOOKs despite not being able to read the language. Some great stuff also being made in the UK.
