In 99% of the fights they do this. Don’t get what’s so special here. Keep watching kids and that was the most boring scenario (not even a fight) and should not be on here.
I really dont like fights after clean hits. It’s part of the game, you’re playing at the highest level. I understand you wanna protect your star players but it’s part of the game... it should only happen if the hits are dirty
I get what you are saying but fights aren’t just because they are defending a fellow teammate(even if it was just a clean hit). They also will fight to pump up their team as well as the fans. Fights are a part of hockey. Hell, even the players will ask each other if they want to go just because. Many of us fans love to see a good fight. So fights need to stay.
As it was said in one of the clips, the guys on the ice don't always know if the hit is clean or not, especially at full speed some of these can look a lot worse than they really are. Others are just the excuse to get a fight in to pump up a team or crowd.
@@CplSpider Agreed for this video. But many players do ask each other if they want to fight just for the sake of it. I was just letting Mike know that fighting is a part of hockey and many of us fans love it.
So refreshing to hear commentary about how ridiculous it is to go after someone for a clean hit in today's game. I will never understand this mentality. "Hey, man. You hit our guy" ... but it was clean ... "I know -- but, but, you can't do that!" ... wtf you talking about? ... "let's go, bud" ... so stupid.
So many comments saying they hate this, because hitting is a part of the game, so is fighting. Have you ever played in a team sport before? Your team is your family you are supposed to be tight, so when you see your teammate get fuckin rocked, it doesnt matter if its a legal hit you cant let someone do that to your guy, you have to respond, so you drop the gloves. When you layout someone like that, you expect to have to respond. Since when did enforcing become hated? You think Marty didnt fight people over clean hits on Gretzky? Since when has the instigator penalty been celebrated? I honestly have nevee heard a good argument as too why standing up for your teammate is bad, especially since just as much as hitting is a part of the game, so is fighting.
Nice to see these guys get the instigator penalty. A clean hit should never be punished. If you get layed out then keep your head up next time and hit the gym.
If you ask me if the original hit was not called a penalty then whoever starts a fight with the hitter needs a double minor for instigating. What happened to the good old days of taking names and kicking ass later? I've been the hitter and the hittee. If you got me fair and square, so be it. No one to blame but myself. Hell, the way the rules are written these days big open ice hits are a rarity because players are afraid of having a major and game misconduct called on them. Seems to me if a big hit does not draw an immediate whistle, chances are it's a legal hit, so get the offender somewhere down the line.
Yeah I’m a blues fan and that wouldn’t Have been interference. He’s just fighting him for hitting Tarasenko. I’m actually more shocked they hit Reeves and he just skated away.
Why a player has to get challenged after a clean hockey check? The guy who is challenging should get 2 minute instigating, 5 minute fitting, and 10 minute miscondict.
Linesmen really need to let players actually fight it out, what is with this ending fights before they are close to over these days? Doesn't settle anything.
If looks like the NHL has been pushing stopping the fights when helmets come off since some kid (I believe in the juniors) took off his helmet before a fight, fell back and slammed his head on the ice, and died. An NHL player dying as a result of a fight would probably be the trigger to eliminate all fighting in the NHL. Ironically, the linemen stopping fights when such a risk becomes at least a minor risk may keep fighting in some form in the game for longer.
That’s not the point. Clean or not its stepping up for your teammates. Letting other teams know that your brothers and have each other’s back no matter what.
This I hate more than anything in hockey. If they don't like players getting hit, then they should play non-contact hockey. That simple. And, in no way does it protect players. It is not protection...it is revenge they are after, but they all use that bull about protecting their star player. Funny...in football, the start quarterback gets sacked and hit hard, even if it is a cheap shot, and no one ever goes after the opposition.
I am getting sooooo sick of this. This league has a credibility problem. And before every moron out there starts with the " you gotta stick up for your teammate" crap, think about where this ends. There is a reason vigilanteeism is illegal. Soon, players will claim a broken skull is justified retribution because their best player is out for 3 games with an injury from a clean hit. Almost all of these hard, clean hits are the result of the player looking at his skates. The very first rule of hockey is keep your head up, but with the league "cracking down" on violence to appease the Liberal softies of the world, players have forgotten this sage advice and just expect they can figure skate their way to the net. Hockey is a contact sport so suck it up buttercup. The league needs to start suspending players that jump other players before it becomes acceptable to do it.
I like how most of the scenarios the guy who had the clean hit also wins the fight and the other gets instigator so vindication for it being clean
@Lincoln Nazarchuk brain goes brrrrrrrrr
8:20 good for Nathen Gerbe💪
Bodied him
It’s like an average height skater fighting Chara
Sanhiem held him because he didn't wanna end this guys career with a haymaker the size of Gerbe's head lmao
Check out folignos face when they’re showing the fight in slow mo
@@camgilbert9073 hahaha great scout on that, foligno is hyped
6:40 clown announcer thinks it should be interference for hitting a guy that played the puck a tenth of a second before the hit
yea, hate stl announcers, dumbfucks!
Well,, I've never watched a live ice hockey, however you and your videos made me addicted to it lol. Respect.
At around the 4:00 mark I love how Kolesar waited for Joshua to get up before starting the fight. Good use of the code there!!
couldn’t agree more, tons of respect gained for Kolesar

What “code”??😂 dumb@ss sport
Aka nhl be a pro
facts lmao they need to fix that a lil bit😂
Lol
True tho
True but I do like to beat someone up after a huge clean hit to tell them “Hey that’s what you get when you mess with me” Lol
FOR REAL I keep getting into fights after clean hits
Segachev destroyed McCabe 😂
Not a hockey fan, but love watching these guys kick the shit out of each other. Oh and the fights are good to.
You should become one then
@@DropDatBass LOL, yeah then I could see it up close.
So you are a hockey fan
Same, I like looking at these types of hockey videos specifically even though I know nothing of or about hockey lol.
2:26 that’s exactly what I want to know
Need another one made. A lot this season alone.
2:55 I did not expect a announcer to talk like that lol
Nathan Gerbe manhandling someone that has almost a whole foot advantage over him will never not be hilarious.

Fighting is part of the game kiddo. Everything you just listed is part of the game, at the "highest level"
Giroux asking his teammate not to vindicate his hard but clean check. What a cool tempered player.

That last one was a mismatch in a proper fight, but he managed to get the gloves off first and wrap the bigger guy up🤣🤣🤣
hockey is the best
You should do “no way that’s a rookie” moments
The best ones of these is Alex killorn on Marty necas and v jake gardiner

Can we get late game injuries? #request
Nearly goal of the year #request
You should do regular season overtime goals that saved a season
The other team knows it's clean, but they can't just watch their boy get lit up and do nothing. It's the principle of the thing.

That First one
Teams that start fights after clean hits need to get assessed the extra penalties every time.
God most of the announcers in this league are annoying af
Hahaha Boston.
That’s because - with the exception of the NBCSN guys - they’re all employed by the teams they cover.
This is one of the many things wrong with today’s hockey. A clean hit is part of the game and zero reason to fight, even the fights suck too.
Can you please do a compilation of goalies reacting to OT wins? Thanks! #request
