Out of all the games i’ve played growing up, for some reason this theme hits the nostalgia feel to an almost disgustingly massive emotional level that I can’t describe. High school was almost over and I spent my days after school glued to the front of my small tv in the corner of my room with the ps3 on, running match after match with my cousin for hours on the headset, leveling up, customizing, unlocking new weapons and camos, and just having an around all-time blast. No responsibilities, no care in the world. Just good times made into memories. I don’t play COD anymore, fell off when Black Ops 2 was released, but MW4 all the way through Black Ops 1 will always have a place in my heart. Those were the days, my friends. Cherish every moment you have.
When everyone else has got off for the night and you are sitting thinking if you should play one last game before bed. Man, I made so many friends and lost just as many during these times. I remember everyone was much more friendlier, more raw and genuine. Back in these days your name would pop up when you got online and I remember getting 15+ invites to either halo 3 or cod4. Now a days everyone and their mother plays online. It is super hard to find cool people anymore... Everyone is either an antisocial or an ass. I remember glitching out of each of the maps in old school mode, or getting a lobby together to quick scope friends. Hearing my friends get into fights online and then getting invited to watch them completely trash the person in the lobby that was talking up his game in a 1v1 shipment match. I remember grinding for camo's and getting that gold Camo for each gun, and boosting in cage match lobbies with some POS that I would let go first to get 29 kills and then when it was my turn, they would kill me and say sorry to move onto the next game faster. I remember the close search and destroy games I played on gamebattles with older kids that found me in matchmaking and they would show me new spots and cool angles to hold. I remember playing border patrol and Michael myers and cops & robbers with the eavesdrop perk. Keep in mind, the community made up all of these game types. Those were the creative types of people that were playing back in the day, doing everything they could to have fun in this game, that was not designed for these game modes. To this day I still have my first ever old gamertag in my profile "Luke skygamer" to one day hopefully reunite with some of the people that deleted me long ago because they wanted to make room on their friend's list because of the 100 friend's cap. Some of the most colorful funny characters I have ever met were around this time. This game was like no other, I am so happy I got to experience this game and online gaming as a whole when it was in it's golden age. Most of my friends started around mw2, so they wouldn't know what it was like with cod 4. But still to this day, I hop on the remastered version and both the PC and OG xbox versions of this game to play, me and my old friends that are no longer friends promised each other that this would be the game we never stop playing... I intend to keep that promise. Sadly I did not know about recording software during these days as I was young and just happy to play online with people instead of by myself. But I am happy that I lived through it and experienced every part of this game. Now with all the old cod servers being fixed, I can relive these memories! My gamer tag on xbox is: Born If anyone wants to play, I will be down! Just send me a message saying you saw my comment and we can run some games into the night like the old days. As long as we keep coming back to this game, it will never die. I am just happy that I am not the only one that knows this and thinks like this. I hopped on a few days ago and saw 8 THOUSAND people playing. So instead of feeling like these times are over, hop back on and relive the memories with us! I hope this message jogged some memories for some of you.
Oh yeah. One more, one more... and then you can hear the birds, the bus driving, the sun going up... time to sleep! I wonder what happened to all the people i played with, 95% of them are "offline" by now. Even my memory fades away, barely remember their usernames now. Also been glitching out of maps, using the traditional mode, where you could jump higher. I was like the king of glitches, i knew them all, haha. Never been into quick scoping though, tbh. Oddly enough i remember maxing out my friends list at 100 too, except i was on PS3. Well, MW2 and MW3 were solid, but nothing ever came even close to CoD4. Mostly played TDM in the beginning, but then went full time S&D. And even though it was like 50%-50%, i ended up with over 40,000 kills. Everyone had a hard on about K/D at the time, and happy when staying postive but mine was like 3.0 or something like that, without any boosting. Played with and against some of the top people. I wasn't even in my "prime" yet, i was still getting better and better. Got into top 100,000 by points and i only felt like getting started. I could have played that game forever, but after 3-5 years (?) they just nuked the leaderboard, and everyone went 10th prestige lvl 55, with a billion points, whether you liked it or not. All motivation of climbing the ranks were gone, and every second lobby had a cheater in there, flying around, being invincible or using some kind of aimbot. And that was it. Been hyped for a possible PS4 version too but that one came like 1-2 years too late, with my job preventing me from playing it excessively. I still have the OG version, in fact i have it twice. One disc got a little crack in it from inside out. And that was a common issue apparently because a friend of mine also had it. Then i just bought it again being the GOTY edition with the DLC pack included. Couldn't bring myself to throw the broken disc away. Still have them both.
It’s enough to bring tears to a grown man’s eyes. I was 9 when cod 4 was released. This game kickstarted my love for call of duty and was a right of passage for my generation. Finishing school, logging on and literally 90% of the school is online playing cod4 at the same time. Nostalgia is such a powerful emotion 😢
Nah bro same here, its fucking nostalgic although i only played the remastered version but the menu music was so good and so was the all ghillied up music. Those 2 theme songs are so nostalgic for me...
I'm so glad I got to experience this growing up. The multiplayer is ingrained in my mind. Growing up with this from the 9/11 generation was a crazy combo
Try to remember this now: Coming home from school, do your homework as fast as you can and then turn on your computer, call your best friends and play some CoD 4. That happened 13 years ago. Feel old yet? 😭😢
I remember the endless conversations with friends just sitting in this lobby waiting for the game to start. Even after we were done gaming for the night, just talking about everything from current events to future plans. Almost 15 years ago when this game came out. As everyone in here has already said even years before I have said it, the nostalgia wave is truly, literally, breathtaking. Cheers everyone.
Hope everyone is doing alright and reflects on some great memories this game brought, especially to those who were in their teens when this came out! Seems like yesterday! Stay frosty, friends!
This game hit different.. I was in middle school when this came out and it was my introduction to online multiplayer games . Cod4 , halo3 and gears of war 2
When this game first came out I was in 5th grade, I only had a PlayStation 2, all I knew was that generation of first person shooters. I remember going to a friend’s house, and his older brother who was a teenager at the time had all his friends over to play this on PlayStation 3, it had just come out. I remember being blown away, they gave me a turn to play and while everyone else was killing each other, I just went up to a car and threw a grenade at the window. I expected it to bounce off but instead it shattered through the window, you could hear it roll around in the backseat before the car exploded. I had never seen anything like it, it was like real life lol.
This was my first online multiplayer game. Started playing in 8th grade and got me hooked. This and Halo 3 made xbox 360 so fun. I feel like a boomer trying to explain to people how fun this game was compared to CoD's now.
Nah fr I was only 7 but I remember it clear as day , I don’t even remember what I did 4 days ago but this sound brings me back to magical times, now I am all ducked up with this life shit
This is the one that started it all… the previous Call of Duty’s has multiplayer but it was very basic, you pick a premade class of weapons and that was it. This was the one that changed it all and gave us what we have today: creatable classes, perks, kill streaks, and popularization of online gaming for everyone. Adults, kids, guys, girls, everyone wanted to play this. Call of Duty 4 deserves its flowers.
These were the simpler and better days my friends...no stress, just school & homework and playing this in the evening, not knowing how life would change when youre grown up... I miss these days, but am grateful for the memories
In my opinion, the first Modern Warfare, and the first Black Ops were one of the greatest ego-shooter games I ever have played. Thanks for the nice times, never forget the memories :)
Remember when we had Server Browsers on PC? You would play on your favorite servers and get good, and the clans that run the servers take notice and invite you to their clan. Good times!
Oh the memories that came flooding in. Playing CoD4 and MW2 at my cousin's house for *HOURS* on end, taking turns playing Campaign missions, laughing at the corpse launches while playing Split screen MP and raging while attempting to clear Mile High Club on Veteran...Those memories will forever hold a special place in my heart and mind palace, and I didnt play CoD online until BO1 (Semi strict parents growing up), i'm just happy I got to experience CoD's golden age before it hit the fan...
Everyone played the same game but we all made our own memories.. My childhood couldn’t have been better. Xbox 360 2007-12 was the golden age of gaming.
I agree... except its been 2007 to 2010 (?) when all leaderboards on PS3 got corrupted, and pretty much everyone was turned into 10th prestige lvl 55 without getting asked.
talk about perfection ...this does it for me. i sit in my car and listen this everytime i remember this game. so vivid' ...."I'm serious, and don't call me shirley"
Man, I was only seven years old when I got this game. Wasnt my first Call of Duty, but it was one of my most enjoyable ones yet. I remember being that little squeaker on the microphone raging at the people who were twice or even triple my age. Ahh, memories.
being 19-20 in 2007 when this banger came out was about as good as it gets for excitement in the game industry. I truly think CoD4 is one of the greatest games ever to grace this planet.
Gosh, this and the Modern Warfare 2 theme are so good, but this one just hits different. It's part nostalgia, but part composition. There's something about this one that can bring a tear to your eye. MW2's is more hardened, but this feels more melancholic, more... emotional. Sadder in a way. An arrangement much too mature for our then young and naive souls. A longing for what once was but can never be again. All those lost lives and premature deaths roaming some of the best maps the game has ever seen. The kills you never thought would happen. The ones you knew would. The blind fire through smoke. The bullet penetration through a wall. The sweet sound of hitmarkers from an airstrike giving you the helicopter. I could go on and on. It starts out with that thumping bassline but morphs into one of the most beautiful melodies I've ever heard. An ode to simpler times, friends. Feel the nostalgia. Bask in it. Let it flood your consciousness. Your heart and soul. Remember what it was like, but know it will never be the same again.
I remember I’m waking up in the morning. It was holidays, I don’t have to go to school. Parents are at work. I’m warming up my breakfast, making a cup of hot tea and launching COD4 Multiplayer… This atmosphere gives me chill. I miss those days…
Man..the amount of times I've heard this. Classic game..it went down in the history books..these modern cods..theyre not gonna go down in the books like these..this genre is definitely dying..im happy to say I was apart of it from the very beginning . Classic..bare bones. Gun skill and movement..thats what it was. 12 years..and it's still remembered highly, impressive. But..keeping up with the times..things change..cod has introduced battle royal now. That's the future. The ones who got to experience cod4 ..world at war..mw2..at it's peak. We're the lucky ones. Thousands upon thousands of hours with this genre. Atleast it went down in history making it's mark.
U 27 years old or so ? I got to rank 45 in the world on this masterpiece. Body is riddled with goosebumps right now. Its sad to think we cant go back. Id Do ANYTHING to play sNd with my bros at school
This was very true until Warzone, that game will blazened into so many memories of people growing up and even seasoned gamers.. But it was COD4 that really started me off and i have so much effectiom for this game..
I just listened to every single multiplayer and zombies theme from BO3 down to this but this is the OG man. Getting this as an 8th grader and not knowing what a respawn is or never playing an FPS in my life. What I would give to go back and relive those years!

As good as MW 2019 is, I still have a special place in my heart for the masterpiece which started it all.
Excuse me that game is trash ! The worst one everrrrr.
@spindletea MP wise it was one of the worst cods ever
Something about this soundtrack just brings me close to home, idk what it is. Maybe I just played this game for far too long xD
Nah bro same here, its fucking nostalgic although i only played the remastered version but the menu music was so good and so was the all ghillied up music. Those 2 theme songs are so nostalgic for me...
@Saixmi 07 bruh stfu someone can feel nostalgic about something kid
@Saixmi 07 💀💀💀💀
@Saixmi 07 real talk my man! Got to rank 45 in the world on this masterpiece! Body is covered in goosebumps rn
“Remember switching to your secondary is faster then reloading”
Dont be sad that we dont have such games be happy that you where there bois.
I'm so glad I got to experience this growing up. The multiplayer is ingrained in my mind. Growing up with this from the 9/11 generation was a crazy combo
we are gettin old damn 2007 i was 16 and now 32... good old childhood memories❤
bruh what? im like 31 and pretty sure in 2007 i've been 13 years old (but still playing it)
The song alone isn’t amazing, it’s the memories and experiences we remember and associate with it that makes it so good.
Try to remember this now:
Coming home from school, do your homework as fast as you can and then turn on your computer, call your best friends and play some CoD 4.
That happened 13 years ago.
Feel old yet? 😭😢
damn :(
No im a time traveler i never feel old,but still... f.
For me it was console but with my brother
This brings me so much peace
I remember the endless conversations with friends just sitting in this lobby waiting for the game to start. Even after we were done gaming for the night, just talking about everything from current events to future plans. Almost 15 years ago when this game came out. As everyone in here has already said even years before I have said it, the nostalgia wave is truly, literally, breathtaking. Cheers everyone.
yes same bro and the Sound when somebody joined the lobby...
@@cabura-X right?! I can still hear it now hahahaha.
I am grateful to my father for showing me COD
SAME!
What a game. What an era. The map selection. The guns. The music. The closest to a perfect game we will ever get.
Amen brother!
Black ops 1, black ops 2, modern warfare 2, and modern warfare 3 are better tbh….. those pretty much are perfect games
Those were the golden days of CoD, the last good CoD was Black Ops 2.
@@BeastiicKofficial Black Ops 1 was the absolute pinnacle of CoD, followed by MW2 and this one, at least for me.
@@BeastiicKofficial Nah this game was absolutely revolutionary in the fps genre it's map selection and story mode is hard to beat.
Hope everyone is doing alright and reflects on some great memories this game brought, especially to those who were in their teens when this came out! Seems like yesterday! Stay frosty, friends!
*Modern Warfare (2007) vs. Modern Warfare (2019)* theme
I like them both practically equally, but I'm still digging the '07 one more.
ᴀʀᴍᴀɴɴ MWR still a better game than the newer ones IMO :(
This theme is so much better
What about mwr from 2016. It added a whole bunch of new stuff
For me the remastered (MWR) is much more fun and content full than original. The multiplayer on the console is extremely fun !
Good news first; the world's in great shape!
No Russian : hold my beer!
We’ve got a civil war in Russia. Government loyalists against ultranationalists rebels, and 15,000 nukes at stake.
@@fallable "Just another day at the office."
And the bad news ?
We've got a new guy joining us today fresh out of selection. His name's Soap.
COD4 MW was my 1st COD game ever. Loved playing the whole game. Then MW2 happened and I was hooked. Can honestly say I played them at the right time.
This game hit different.. I was in middle school when this came out and it was my introduction to online multiplayer games . Cod4 , halo3 and gears of war 2
Oh man. Same here. Best games.
More than 50000 people used to love this game.
Now, it is still loved by that many people.
Dammit, now I wish I had my CoD4 disc with me.
I still have my PS3 copy, though I only have a Steam copy on PC, wonder if there were any mods I may have missed...
Get a digital copy of the original
This was my first online multiplayer game. Started playing in 8th grade and got me hooked. This and Halo 3 made xbox 360 so fun. I feel like a boomer trying to explain to people how fun this game was compared to CoD's now.
Take me back. What a game. What a time it was
I listen this while playing Cod4 Remastered.
Love it!
Immediate chills.
Nah fr I was only 7 but I remember it clear as day , I don’t even remember what I did 4 days ago but this sound brings me back to magical times, now I am all ducked up with this life shit
So many memories. Sitting in my living room pounding beers and teaming up with friends. Next thing i know its 4am and im hammered lol. Good times.
To this day I still can’t describe the sound of when a map is picked, it plays this series of beeps that will never be replicated.
Agreed How do we find this sound !!?
These were the simpler and better days my friends...no stress, just school & homework and playing this in the evening, not knowing how life would change when youre grown up... I miss these days, but am grateful for the memories
not only is this nostalgic but its really good to have on in the background feels like im living in the map bloc
2024 and this song is still the best banger. MW2 Rangers theme is a match aswell.
In my opinion, the first Modern Warfare, and the first Black Ops were one of the greatest ego-shooter games I ever have played. Thanks for the nice times, never forget the memories :)
x2 los mejores juegos, los he jugado y la verdad buenisimos
ive had this on for like an hour without realising, damn i miss 2009
2007*
same here mate same here
@@JustinLegit *2000heaven
doing IT stuff while listening to this makes me feel so badass
I truly feel bad for anyone who hasn’t experienced this game in its prime

Remember when we had Server Browsers on PC? You would play on your favorite servers and get good, and the clans that run the servers take notice and invite you to their clan. Good times!
Oh never on the clans part. In fact, I'm always a loner.
COD 4 and WaW are the only campaigns I enjoy replaying
I luv working listening to this and old MW2 Multiplayer soundtrack
talk about perfection ...this does it for me. i sit in my car and listen this everytime i remember this game. so vivid' ...."I'm serious, and don't call me shirley"
I’ll keep my old crappy sniper montages on my channel as long as I live this game was my life as a teenager
Playing this in the new modern warfare multiplayer lobby fits as your soldier scans the area
broken red clock can confirm, I’ve done it too lol
"I think I saw his arm fly off.."
Reject modernity
Embrace Tradition
Will always be my fav FPS games of all time and along with mw2.
0:57 it’s just the best part legit
The best part is the whole song
This is a masterpiece. Who the hell came up with all these effects to synch perfectly
deadmau5 haha
Man, I was only seven years old when I got this game. Wasnt my first Call of Duty, but it was one of my most enjoyable ones yet. I remember being that little squeaker on the microphone raging at the people who were twice or even triple my age. Ahh, memories.
being 19-20 in 2007 when this banger came out was about as good as it gets for excitement in the game industry. I truly think CoD4 is one of the greatest games ever to grace this planet.
Ahh I can still remember spawning into modded lobbies
RINGTONE TIME! ( btw this is the first time I've ever put anything in full on caps. )
COD4 sure brings the caps. :)
Dont cry because it ended smile beause it hapened
My first online multiplayer cod. Just hearing this puts me at peace. Time flies.
0:03 ...good news first, The worlds in great shape...
Bruh I started playing this game when I was 7 , brings back so many memories
“It’s the FNG, sir.”
I remember I’m waking up in the morning. It was holidays, I don’t have to go to school. Parents are at work. I’m warming up my breakfast, making a cup of hot tea and launching COD4 Multiplayer… This atmosphere gives me chill. I miss those days…
playing all day and all night... until the sun got up (then i went to bed, lmao)
My first cod was bo1 but I played with offline bots my first online multiplayer experience was bo3 I know it's sad
@@alexmason1436 yeah bo1 was a good one . It just seemed a little difficult at first . To me anyway. After getting use to it it was easy to get kills.
0:09 When you watch some memes at night and you hear footsteps coming closer
This game never gets old
I was actually playing this again, I played the campaign over again and it brought back so many memories ngl
i spent on this game 6 years of my life. BEST SHOOTER EVER CREATED!
It’s been 12 years now.......the game is gone..........but not forgotten........
I’m tearing up listening to this :’(
COD4 and Halo 3's main menu themes will always give me teenage nostalgia.
best soundtrack ever. hey guys remember "target approaching from the north, dont do anything stupid"
best campaign ive ever played
i remeber that mission it was really really good i replayed it so many times
0.3 seconds a wave of chills oft sent threw my body
Goddamn I’m 13 again waiting for my 2 friends to join my game and chat with my Xbox 360 headset on eating a snack on a school night at 9pm. Damn this makes me nostalgic my gosh, it almost makes me sad!! Wth
This was playing in the background while I was modding Skyrim for 6+ hours pretty great and got a lot done 👍👍
