You know they must have had a very hard time surviving out there seeing how short their lives were, so sad. It really makes you thankful for all the modern comforts and advancements we have now.
Fascinating cemetery in remarkable condition. Times were hard especially for children: limited or no medical care available and many diseases not understood.
Thank you! I cherish old cemeteries and the lives that once were vibrant and inquisitive about their settlements. Such short life spans of many children, makes me sad. How heartbroken their parents must have been.
Really digging the addition of the atmospheric music. The tree trunk headstone was quite a sight. Those circular mounting foundations are a real mystery. So many so tightly together. Your final shot really illustrates the high water mark on those cypress trunks!
My first time exploring with you. Wonderful video, such respect for human life in FL. The name Giddens is well known around NE FL. They were funeral owners/directors, wonderful people. Thanks for sharing, and keeping your comments clean. I'm going to sub. and enjoy sharing in your adventures. May God bless you and keep you safe.
I enjoy the old cemeteries and contemplating like you do on their lives in such a harsh, unforgiving environment. BTW, We’re planning a camping trip over Easter weekend in southwest GA - staying at Kolomoki Mounds and going up to Providence Canyon for a day trip. Have you been? Any tips? Tried looking through your vids but, if so, may have missed a video on either of them. As always, safe travels!
These ruins remind me of the Giza Egyptian pyramids ! Well actually the Giza Fountains K-Mart Plaza by my old house they used to have the best pizza, but these are pretty cool!
My wife an I went out to look for this cemetery but we could not find it. We would like to place some flowers on the graves and do a little amateur investigating, you know EVP and such.
My Grandmother was a Giddens. She grew up in that area & Webster/Terrytown & moved to Tampa in 1933.. I'm sure we are related to those folks...
Thanks for sharing. I thought that I was seeing things, but you pointed out the water level, which explained the dark tree bottoms.

These days it's still hard to survive the only thing is that we live a little bit longer thanks to science
