Wow I really appreciate your lovely comment! It means a lot to me ! Thank you so much and please feel free to share it with your friends and family! I have different marination if you like to check in this link ua-cam.com/video/A-5IswTfesE/v-deo.html Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 ❤️🙏
I stuffed the turkey then rubbed it with duck fat and baked in the bag. Browned beautifully like in a magazine, super juicy and flavorful! Absolutely the BEST turkey in 64 years! These bags are sooo underrated!♥️🍗👍
I use the oven bags too and LOVE this video! I like how you add the innards/neck with the veggies/fruits on the bottom as a makeshift rack. Also, I like how you stuffed it too! Talk about Flavor!? Yum, yum, yum! I'm using this recipe for sure! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment and I really appreciate it ! There will be some liquid collected in the bag you can use it to make gravy! I have another method of marination if you like to check it out ua-cam.com/video/A-5IswTfesE/v-deo.html
Can I suggest rubbing turkey with the butter THEN put on your spices. Otherwise if you noticed, the spices were wiped off the turkey when rubbing the butter on.
Nice video. Thanks. I suggest: 175 - 180 degree meat temp (true for all dark meat poultry) - those are weight bearing muscles you are cooking and they need time or the meat will be tough.
No it was so tender but I like to cook it a little longer than the bag instructions says ! You can pull it out by the time written on the box and test the temperature. If you are satisfied with the temp. then that's if not put it back! Happy Thanksgiving
That looks really delicious but I have a question about the spices that you used. I know everybody’s different than what they like to taste but the chili powder was different for me and did that give it a smoky taste or did it give it a Mexican chili, kind of taste, I definitely wouldn’t want a Mexican taste on a turkey. Just curious how that tasted?
Hello there, thank you for your comment. Have you ever had ribs ? That what ribs have in the dry rub most of the time !! The turkey won’t give you Mexican food taste ! But if you are concerned you can easily omit it ! It is not a big thing ! You can omit any spice that you don’t like 😄happy cooking and have a wonderful day 🙏

It is 10-12 ib 2 hours and 12-16 is 2 1/4 hours for 165F. I like my turkey to be so tender 175 F. It is up to you but trust me it wont be tender for 2 hours!! I love liver and giblet but you or others can omit them! Have a great day!
Wow, finally. Easily the best most step by step video out there. Watched a ton, even by well known chefs. This broke it all down. Thanks a mil.

You can do that but this is a dry rub method. The Turkey will get it is flavor all night better by doing that!. Happy Thanksgiving
Can i suggest mixing the spices in with the butter, and rubbing it with that? Even better.
Can I suggest not seasoning the Turkey at all and just let it sit there, pale and dry?
Can I suggest to boil the turkey instead? No spice or butter or roasting, just water.

Good work! I’m gonna copy that bag base you used with the gizzards and hearts. That gravy was probably FIRE 🔥 😊

I agree too . Thank you so much for your comment and Happy Thanksgiving 🙏🙏
You did this in the oven, do you think it would work if it cooked in a smoker at 350?
Is the plastic safe for the food?
Yes, the bag is made especially for purposes of cooking. Happy Thanksgiving!
Was it a tad over baked? Or is that typical when one uses an oven bag? I bet it smelled terrific and tasted even better.

Did u take out the left over flour that you put in the bag or did you leave the rest in there?
Hello there , no I didn’t take it out according to the instructions , you put 2 tablespoons flour in the bag and leave it there.
Can i put turkey i. The roasting bag tonight and bake in morning.. will that ruin it ?
I think it is ok but don't close the bag leave it open so the moisture won't develop inside the bag! Happy Thanksgiving !
I ALWAYS REMOVE THE PLASTIC HOLDING THE LEGS TOEGHTER.........ARE THEY OVEN SAFE TO LEAVE ON ?

3 hours for a 12 pound turkey. Her oven must be off. Instructions say 2 hours. Don't put the liver in the bag.
