I think from the horror I would have picked the same as you. There was one weird terror that was sweet looking. For others I liked the kid comics and the Felix the cat book
Nice haul. I would have grabbed the Moon Girl and the Crime Suspense you grabbed. Weird Mysteries would have been tempting, and of course the 50s Captain America. Of course, price dictates our decisions. Big PCH fan, me.
3 great pick ups! I would have been hard for me to leave that golden age Cap with the awesome yellow cover. How much was he asking for that? love your videos.
Thank you! I didn’t get the price for the Cap. I should have asked. But I assumed he wanted a lot so I didn’t even ask.. lol I appreciate you watching!
That Captain America Comics 78 is the final issue of the series, from 1954. It has cover and interior art by John Romita, Sr., who had begun work on the title just two issues previous.
That’s amazing! I’m kicking myself for not picking that one up. I don’t even know what he wanted for it. I should have asked the price. Thanks for the info! 🙏
That absolutely looks like a shop worth visiting again. Me, if I had an unlimited budget and was just buying on the basis of appeal to me, I’d take that Black Cat with the Halloween cover (because it looks cool and my wife would like it), the Eerie #2 shown immediately after it (has Wally Wood cover art and a fairly good story with Wood art), and then the Shock SuspenStories 6 (one of the most iconic Wood covers plus a corresponding story with Wood art. Realistically, if I visited this shop I’d pick up that copy of UFO Report magazine seen around the 2:00 mark, ask how much it costs, frown when told $5, and would not be shown the Golden Age treasure box at all.
I like your choices! And thanks for the great info! It was definitely an amazing experience to be able to look at all those books in person. Thanks for watching! 😃
Thanks!! Yeah it was a lot of fun digging through the box of golden age. I wish I could have afforded that Shock suspense. I might have to go back again soon!
Wow wow wow. You got a super deal on these three books. Anytime you can get pre-code horror for below market you've done well. I'm happy you read the Chamber of Chills issue as well - there's something about opening up these old comic books (even the musty smell of old paper) and reading these stories, even if they're not the greatest. Congrats on the great pick-ups!
I’m not sure about those. I picked a few to choose from and he gave me prices on them. Basically just looked at sold eBay listings. I never asked about the Flash or Blackcats.
Using that big collection to pay for the hobby. Such a satisfying way to aquire books you want but cant justify spending big bucks of your own cash on. Well done dude. Books look sweet.
Such an incredible haul! I'm curious what he was asking for that "Black Cat darling of comics" book with the halloween cover, because man that's a beauty. Really enjoyed seeing this collection and congrats on the nice finds man!
Thank you! It’s funny because I was really drawn in by the Black Cat but I ended up getting the others. Im going back up there soon. If he still has it I might grab it! Im not sure what he was asking for it though..
Yeah the ones he had were pretty cool. I thought about it but I’m personally much more into horror than sci-fi. But I know what you’re saying. I probably could have gotten a pretty good deal on the sci-fi. Thanks for watching!
I love watching your videos, how do you get the money to spend on these comics?? Do you sell online or do you have a store?? I'm thinking of starting a video channel as I have a ton of comics and go to different shops and shows. How did you get the courage to start doing this?
Thank you very much! The majority of my comic spending budget is just from working my day job. I do sell once in a while at local shows and on Whatnot but I don’t make much money doing that. Starting a channel is easy and a lot of fun. You have to just jump right in and go for it. I personally started my channel mainly as an online journal just to record my purchases and experiences. And it turned into so much more now!
Thanks so much for your reply. I'm still a collector instead of a seller but I know a lot of these guys I watch sell to build their inventory. Getting on to do the videos is also tough because of my day job (bus driver),as I'm gone early and home late, but watching you makes me want to give it a try. Again love watching you and keep it up 🙏. GOD BLESS
Huge CONGRATULATIONS 🎉on the finds. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you!
Wow!!! I totally would've scooped up that EERIE #2 with that gorgeous WOOD cover! 😮😮
out of the shadows #8!! that classic shrunken head issue!! and who could pass up that Captain America!!
I wish I could have bought them all!
Vampirella No.1 was released the month before I was born :) It's a comic I MUST own one day!
That’s very cool! A great year to be born in!! Hope you add that book to your collection someday soon!!
Great pickups … that captain America looked extra clean. Great pickups!!!!
Thanks so much! Yeah I wanted to get that book too but the horror is my favorite!!
Sweet books! I would have just grabbed the Shock 6 it’s such an incredible cover by Wally Wood.
Thanks! Yeah I wish I could have afforded the Shock!
Very nice...great picks.
Thank you!!
Crazy finds! I would have gotten the Vampi for sure 👍
Thanks man! Yeah I’m so happy I finally could add that to my collection. It’s such an amazing book!
I think from the horror I would have picked the same as you. There was one weird terror that was sweet looking. For others I liked the kid comics and the Felix the cat book

Great choices! I wanted all of them lol wish I could afford it!
Awesome grabs keep up the amazing content. Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks Delon! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!!

@@patriotcomics Np also that Wonder Woman was pretty neat.
Sweet books bro. Wow…you travelled pretty far to get to Honesdel, PA. Nice pickups though. Hope to see you tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks brother! Yeah my family lives out there so I’m up there all the time. See you tomorrow! Happy thanksgiving to you as well!
That was a nice little honey hole there! I would've picked up the Captain America on first glance.
Yeah I wanted that one too but I couldn’t pass up on the horror. It’s my favorite!
I want that Flash Comics #94 and the Moon Girl fights crime…
Yeah those were some cool ones! I really liked that Moon Girl too.
Shops that dont put a lot of effort into presentation are the best to find deals
Absolutely! I agree. Thanks for watching!

It is understandable why you chose the books that you did but if it were me, I would’ve gone for that Captain America and the Vampirella
That absolutely looks like a shop worth visiting again.

Cool that you found that Vampi 1 in that shop. Frazetta used to live not far from there, near Stroudsburg until he died a few years ago
Oh wow! I didn’t know that. Very cool! He is a legend for sure!
@@patriotcomics yeah, he actually had a museum of his art there. I regret never stopping by
Beautiful Vampirella number one. Love those golden age but that would’ve been the one I went after also maybe that captain America great video thanks
Thanks so much!! I’m so happy to finally have a Vampirella #1! But I love me some golden age too!!
I actually have Crime Suspenstories 16 in about the same condition as yours. One of the only high grade ECs in my collection.
Very nice! It’s a great book! Can’t go wrong with Jonny Craig.
Wow😮 congrats! What a great collection I loved all of them and such good condition. I definitely would’ve grabbed the Vampirella 1 too!!
Thanks so much!
All 3 golden age horror also.
I wish I could have bought more!
What a great selection. Thank you for sharing.
Wow you should get that black cat mystery comic...!!! My copy is errr ok condition. A great copy of that runs like couple of hundreds
Yeah I’m kind of kicking myself for not taking that one home! I’m going back soon. Hopefully it’s still there!
Thanks for sharing! Love some of those precode horrors!
Thanks so much!
Wow, those are some awesome finds out in the wild! The Shock Suspenstories comics would have been the ones at the top of my list.
Thanks!! Yeah it was a lot of fun digging through the box of golden age. I wish I could have afforded that Shock suspense. I might have to go back again soon!
That is a very cool store, and those golden age horror books were amazing
Yeah it was quite an experience looking through that shop! And so much fun digging through those golden age books.
Cool video!

Do you remember what he wanted on the Flash 94 or the two Black Cats?
I’m not sure about those. I picked a few to choose from and he gave me prices on them. Basically just looked at sold eBay listings.
I never asked about the Flash or Blackcats.

I would have gone for the EC…particularly the EC Sci-fi. Any pre-code horror is just sky high now.
Yeah the ones he had were pretty cool. I thought about it but I’m personally much more into horror than sci-fi. But I know what you’re saying. I probably could have gotten a pretty good deal on the sci-fi. Thanks for watching!
