Congratulations on the upgrade. I'm sure you will love it even more as you get used to it. Take care, be safe and may the Lord bless you and your family.
I have the exact model Kubota and grapple as you and it is perfect for what you are doing! Get some pallet to place the grapple and bucket for easier loading and unloading! Thanks for your videos!
Congratulations on your New Tractor you're gonna love it! I bought the mx4700 bout 8 yrs. ago and with the bucket, forks, and posthole digger it saved me a lot of labor. Also be real careful with that roll over bar/canopy rack when in the brush or thick trees, garages that it don't hang up on anything. it will catch you unaware. God Bless!
I have no clue what all that equipment would cost in the States, but your work life will never look back now. Have often thought watching these woody type videos why the rubbish logs aren't used to keep the good stuff of the wet ground. Also I breaks my heart to think of all the stuff that just gets burned when some of it could be used to heat some old folks homes who can not afford to buy wood. Great video as usual. Thanks from New Zealand.
Congrats on your beautiful upgrade! I wish you years of service from this new acquisition. With time you will get more proficient with it's capabilities.
Congratulations on your new piece! It's wonderful your Dad and you were able to share the experience of getting this great piece together. I have so enjoyed your video's. You have a beautiful family and you really seem to enjoy your wood trade. Well done you! Take care and Many Blessings! :)
Congratulations on buying a damn good machine! Just be careful and may God continue to bless you, your family and all your animals! PS, don't ever forget to thank your wife for allowing you to buy this great machine!
Congrats! Your going to love having a modern tractor! Get a box scraper for ballast and weld a hitch ball on the back of it for moving other things around, you can use the 3 point to pick em up and never leave your seat.
Wishing you all the best with your new machine. Later no doubt you will get round to reading the user's manual or as one old farmer called it the book of destruction . All the best from the Uk🇬🇧
Congratulations on the new tractor and grapple!! You’ll love it. Similar to you, for years I used a “seasoned” tractor with a boom pole for logging on my place. A few years ago I also got a Kubota with a grapple. Don’t see how I got along before without it. It makes everything soooo much easier. One piece of advice that learned about the hard way. Strap down your quick release arms on the grapple - I just used some rope. Without them being strapped down, irregular brush poking though the back of the grapple can release one side or the other making it a pain to get back on.
When grabbing logs to move or load on to the sawmill, use the teeth of the grapple to have more control over your logs so they don't roll around in the bucket. Shouldn't damage the log to the boards, just the skins.
I Don’t think you’ll ever be disappointed in your Kabota tractor ! I have a lawn care business forestry land clearing business and I beat the hell out of my equipment ! since 2000 when I first went into business and bought the first tractor although I own several others now I’ve still never had one minutes trouble out of the original tractor or any of the newer models 👍
Life just got a little easier, you sure did need some lifting power around the mill and on your property! That won't only save the day, it will save your back too! Congrats.
Great choice Tractor. I just recently purchased the 2020 Model MX5400. You'll be very happy and surprised at what a Great Machine for the Money. Really enjoy your Channel.
Hey bud, nice tractor, just a little friendly tip when using your front loader on roads, when you back drag anything try to use the back and bottom of your bucket instead of the front tip, if you hit anything hard while those bucket pistons are extended that far out they can bend and cause you a lot of hassle down the road. Hope that helps, enjoy!
Sweet tractor! I was wanting to buy a used one that size, but didn't find anyone selling one in my area. Apparently, people love their Kubotas. I ended up with a smaller tractor, JD 4200 with a loader. It's 26 HP. It does a pretty good job, but wish I had 40 HP, so I could run a bigger mower. Thanks for letting us look it over.
We bought an old 50 hp Case farm tractor. It just takes a bit of ingenuity to add hydraulics and to weld together all manner of attachments for special purposes. Though I would admit…having a tractor just a little newer than WW2 would indeed be handy!
Very happy for you with the new tractor. Nice setup 👍🏼 Grapples are great for holding logs at a comfortable height to chainsaw off pieces for fire wood. You will love it if not only for loading logs on the mill. Congrazt.
Congrats. I got my MX 5200 a year ago and I love it. I too had an antique, so I didn’t understand all the bells and whistles. Your productivity is going to go through the roof. Consider a quick hitch as much as you’re going to change implement. I don’t have to please the tractor except for connecting the PTO shaft. Again congrats.
O' Boy , new paint and a grapple! Very Nice, Messick's has a very informative video just released on grapples and the incredible amount of hydraulic pressure spikes when improperly using a grapple. It's will worth a watch and can save you thousands of dollars on repair cost. Happy Harvesting and Milling!
Morning from Yukon, Oklahoma. Nice tractor and video. Noe you need to cut you some 4x4 posts to put your attachments on to make them a little higher of the ground for easier to remove and install them. Hope you understand what I’m trying to say. Have a fantastic day. God Bless.
Hey Wes good luck with the new tractor, expecting to see a lot of good projects in the near future. I always admired how much you did with the old Ford and wondered if you were ever going to upgrade. Great video, thumbs up.
Nice tractor. I hope you show the wood pile burn in a future video cause that is quite the pile. Thanks love your videos and whole family God bless you all.
Congrats on your new tractor life will be a little easier around your property now and maybe save your back from all the brush..lol Enjoy and keep those videos coming and God Bless!
Suggestion... when you dropped that log on the mill, it really torqued it sideways. You may want to think about a square tubing frame that you can sit next to the mill that goes around the bucket so you can set the log down ( three-sided box) and back out then just roll the log over on to the mill. Just a thought...
Kubota make a versatile tractor and you will soon find yourself wondering if there are other attachments you might want to get for it later on down the road. Right now, though, concentrate on getting things done, because you made a major performance improvement by getting this tractor, the results will be amazing! :D
On the log to the mill - have the log drop down not roll out. You will get better on the grapple as time goes by. I have two. Wanted one! They are handy.
Greetings again from the UK Wes! I'm guessing that Kubota is a much needed but darned expensive investment! None of us are geting any younger so it will certainly make some jobs at FLR a lot easier. Hope you & yours are well - stay safe.
I have had an L3830 GST for several years and really love it. I do have an FEL, but no grapple; that would be a nice addition, but I do get a lot done with my bucket and forks. Here's something you might not know about your FEL: the model number is capacity in kilograms, so you can multiply the model number by 2.2 to get the capacity in pounds.
Congratulations. Proud for you and happy that you were able to get the tractor and grapple. Tractor time is therapy time. Way to go!
Congratulations on the upgrade. I'm sure you will love it even more as you get used to it. Take care, be safe and may the Lord bless you and your family.
Thank you!
Gotta "like" this! I upgraded in 2020 also. Too old to take the heat, so I went to A/C. Thats wonderful too! Congratulations.
I have the exact model Kubota and grapple as you and it is perfect for what you are doing! Get some pallet to place the grapple and bucket for easier loading and unloading! Thanks for your videos!
Good idea! I have a pallet already.
Congrats on the upgrade. Your ability to get things done has expended so much. Nice tractor and best wishes for you and your family.
Love your new toys! Tools are tricks for the trades! Great video!
Oh man. That grapple ties the room together. You know how much smoother milling just got. Nice work.
Thanks Bus! That’s a good way to put it.
Wes, as you already know that “K” is going to make your life a lot easier. Congratulations my friend.
God Bless!
Two words... GAME CHANGER! Congratulations, Wes!
Thanks! It’s looking like a MAJOR game changer so far.
Congratulations on the new tractor! Get yourself a set of pallet forks for moving lumber and a land plane for your driveway.
Looks like a very welcome addition to the mill! Congrats my friend!
Those shots from underneath the tractor are really cool !!
Thanks 👍
Congrats on your beautiful upgrade! I wish you years of service from this new acquisition. With time you will get more proficient with it's capabilities.
That’s gonna save you a lot of time Wes. Not so much winding logs up the ramp onto the mill bed! Great machine. Take care and stay safe! Stan
Hey! I just wanted to say how much I'm glad you made that upgrade. Nice tractor, and with a grapple. Alright.
She encouraged it!
Richard Frazee "thank your wife for allowing"????? Seriously???
Congratulations on the new toy. It'll make life/work so much easier.
Yes it will
Congrats! Your going to love having a modern tractor! Get a box scraper for ballast and weld a hitch ball on the back of it for moving other things around, you can use the 3 point to pick em up and never leave your seat.
Already love it! Power steering is nice!
As you know from your dad's you will not regret your choice. I miss my wife's L3400 but it was to small for our new homestead projects.
Creative camera angles. I don't think I've ever seen a view from underneath the tractor before.
Beautiful Kubota! You will never regret the grapple!
I don't think so either. It's great!
Wishing you all the best with your new machine. Later no doubt you will get round to reading the user's manual or as one old farmer called it the book of destruction . All the best from the Uk🇬🇧
Haha!

The dealer told me to keep an eye on that too. Thanks for the tip!
Dude! You’re in high cotton now loading that sawmill! Congrats on the upgrade.
Thanks!
That’s a great addition to your farm. It should make your life a lot easier and more productive. Great videos!
I think so too!
Happy for you on your new equipment, I know this will make your work faster and easier.
Yes it will!

Thanks!
i disagree, if you like live edges on your boards.
Awesome....I want one. Time saved is well worth it. 👍🏼
Ordered the exact set up. I get it in 4 days. Excitement !!!!!Great video.
Congratulations on a good purchase - enjoy!
Thank you!
Really nice, have fun and great luck
Good luck with your new machine
Good job on your filming.👍
Thank you! 👍
Congratulations! You’re gonna love that thing
Already do, thanks!

Good to know! Thanks!

Nice machine, that construction grapple will probably be the thing you leave on the most . Very versatile. Happy for you!!! Congrats
I think so too. It's incredibly useful!

Now you are cooking on the front burner!! I'm glad you got it.
Congrats my friend, you EARNED it !!
Thanks!!
You must have gotten your stimulus check! Haven’t seen mine. Sweet ride. Cant wait to see the reviews
Ha! Thanks!
Congratulations! Definitely the right color.
Congratulations!! Very happy for you.

Thanks Craig!
Congrats! Nice tractor and grapple.
Very Nice !! You're gonna love that thing!
Now, you can do a full restoration on the Ford and take it to the fair every year!
Nice tractor. I hope you show the wood pile burn in a future video cause that is quite the pile. Thanks love your videos and whole family God bless you all.

Thank you, Jack!
You truly deserved this. Congratulations on a beautiful piece of kit that'll make everything easier for you.
Very good tractor and very good channel. Bless you and yours.

Congrats on the upgrade! Loving the orange color scheme!
Can never have too much orange stuff.
I’m so glad you bought a Kubota. Heard lots of good things from homesteader who purchase a Kubota.
God is good my Brother!!
Awesome tractor! You will love it ! Perfect size for what you do.
What a BEAUTIFUL rig! Time to build its own pole barn
