I've been witnessing for over thirty years but i'm taking ray's school of biblical evangelism now to try to get better.
This young man is teachable. I like him and pray Ray led him to accept Jesus.
Hardest lesson to learn is putting your own pride down in order to allow God to fill your heart with love and all the fruits of the spirit.

Nice try , sadly falling short . Remember the Bible story that began pleading for mercy. His debts were forgiven. But the rest of the story is said. The forgiven man finds someone who owed him money. He finds him and wants him prosecuted and throne into prison. The judge finds out about this and it gets bad .

Jesus saves us baptized with The Holy Spirit and Holy Water from original sin. Sins committed after Baptism have to be confessed, we have to receive absolution and serve our Penance to be forgiven by God. He exhorts through His Priests. The Priest is in persona Christi when enacting Gods Sacraments He instituted in His One Only True Apostolic Catholic Church. That’s why He instituted the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). 2 Cor 5:18-20, Jn 20:21-23, Mt 16:18-19, 18:17-18.
If we die in mortal sin, we chose to be separated from God. He honors our choices for eternity. There’s no hope left.
If we die in Venial sin, we have to be purged of it to enter Heaven, as nothing impure can enter. Purgatory is a complete cleansing of our souls on the way to Heaven.

God is merciful, but don't ignore his justice. If God is just, then he fairly punishes evil. If he didn't punish evil, he'd be unjust and therefore not good. We've done evil in our lives by breaking God's commandments and since he's just, he has to punish us for it. The punishment is death. However, God's mercy let's us escape death and have eternal life by loving and trusting in Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross when he died. Jesus got the punishment of evil (death) even though he was the only person to never do evil. He completely kept God's commandments yet still paid the punishment for when God's commandments are broken. That's why we trust in Jesus's goodness and not our own goodness to get into Heaven. He took our punishment upon himself so that we are no longer punished.
@@user-ww1he2ly8p It is the teaching of the church that he is 100% just and 100% Merciful, also Jesus was not the only person without sin Mary also never committed sin. she was made without original sin someone with the stain of original sin or any other sin could not be the mother of god, and just because he gave his life for us it doesn't mean we are no longer punished. we are purified in purgatory or condemned to hell most people don't go straight to heaven that's pretty rare.

I don’t think God is good. I think God is evil and cruel. I used to think otherwise but if creating us to suffer and struggle and live in such an evil broken world. and then you’re eternal sentence is hell if you can’t overcome is not a loving God.
