Thank you for even one more awesome video, my friend.... ;) I also recomend you to replace the sway bar bushinds that hold the sway bar to the body frames.
The blue dampers were from Sachs. They are the standard dampers in the 900. Unfortunately, the B4 dampers tend to rattle very quickly, which is why hardly anyone (at least here in Germany) still installs these dampers. That's why I switched directly to the B6. Otherwise, the Koni dampers could be an alternative for more comfort. I'm curious to see how satisfied you are with the new setup!
Thanks! 900’s can be a little tough. Most stuff I’d still available, but you need to rely on a few different sources. For GM Saabs, this video is helpful: ua-cam.com/video/ARVbmaQ7Dn8/v-deo.htmlsi=9arDRYBFHD_-dGHv
I fixed my in front, will fix the back later but mine is not as nice as yours, its heavily rusted everywhere. I will very likely need to weld some more when i change them in back. Pretty easy in front, used lowering springs with helps with the "wandering"(more safe and easy to get in place too). I did it at the same time as i welded the link arm fastenings that was gone, even the rust had fell off. Have some videos that might help if you get stuck or just ask if you want to do the springs too. They are tricky to get in and dangerous with the widow make...i mean spring compressors.
@@AutoAutopsy Consider lowering it a bit with springs it makes a big difference. But for now you got to enjoy the new shock shock absorbers. I installed those on my old volvo 740 they are excellent. That car is in great shape, as rust free as your Saab and got good paint too. Keep up the good work!
I did a full suspension rebuild on my 1993 saab 900 convertible. I went with Koni reds. and I love it. but I did not lower it. I have 16 inch Areo rims from a saab 9000.
I'm seriously thinking about installing Bilstein shock absorbers on my CR-V. Not sure if I'll go with B4s or B6s yet but I'm definitely leaning towards one of those 2 options.
B6 is more like for sporty driving with a stiffer suspension. B4 is more like for more softer daily drive use. I did also go for the B4 on my og900 convertible cruicer....
looking good with the new suspension. my 900 has one strange suspension issiue aswell. maybe someone has a hint on what it could be! so i have noticed that my rear wheels seem to be out of place, the driver side wheel looks more out of the fender then on the right side. i looked at the dampers and measured how low the car sits (i have never done anything with the suspension). well it seems that the car has red Koni dampers, also the front sits 35cm low, aswell as the back but the driver side wheel sits 34cm low. but i cant imagine that this is the reason. i am kinda worried, that my suspension might gets damaged or that the previous owner did something with the suspension. i also wonder about the panhard rod. if the car sits to low, that it needs to be adjusted, but i dont know if thats true or not
Could be that a previous owner changed the suspension from stock and as a result the panhard rod was misaligned. I’ve changed the suspension and wheel size on my ‘91 SPG and installed an adjustable rear panhard rod to center the rear axle.
@@TheBTG88well what i have seen so far is that the 35cm suspension seems to be the more sportier version. i already tried to find an adjustable panhard rod but the offers here in germany are zero, or are there universal rods that you can buy somewhere? i know that MCS offers an adjustable Rod but thats out of stock at the moment. so do you have any alternatives?

Hello I have a question so I installed my cold air intake about a week and a half ago and everything has been going smooth but then when I was driving uphill my vehicle through a P0171 System too lean, bank 1 is that because of The cold air intake or because I installed everything right
that almost sounds like an O2 sensor code, but I could be wrong. I would recommend searching that code on google/saab forums to see what possible causes could be
Heyy, I got a saab 9-3 turbo 4 2011, its got an issue where it only hesitates at full throttle, the car with shutter, and wont accelerate, but half throttle its fine, any ideas? B207R, thanks
it sounds like you've got a misfire which is likely caused by bad plugs or coils. here's a video with more info: ua-cam.com/video/xJyNJzFX2JI/v-deo.html

They have not started to rattle on my 9000 Aero. I installed them in 2019 on the car. 🙂
thanks for the heads up; I have always heard great things about Bilstein
@@AutoAutopsy in terms of the B6 yes, but not for the B4.

Looking good, but just thinking about rust (or not) and crud… I forget, was this an AZ or CO car in its previous “life”?
yep! AZ, Washington, and Florida!
I’ve been asking myself do I change the Springs or the Shocks or Both?
Here in Oz I’m up for big freight costs either way…
I still have a sagging rear end after this. These improvements helped a ton, but my rear springs are on their way out. I’d recommend doing both!
Nice job!
thanks!
Where did you get the upper control arm tool? Not finding anything like it in preliminary internet search.
I was able to find it used on a Facebook group. eBay would be my recommendation

I also just hit the 150k mile mark on my 08 93 what do you recommend for servicing maintenance
serpentine belt and tensioner would be a good idea if that hasn't been done. other than that, it should be good to go besides regular maintenance!

eBay, I was able to find a used one for sale. They pop up every now then
