Also, it does seem as tho they gave Benjamin guys that he should go over clean and (since he's w the Bucks) a draw with Okada. Shelton being in the Continental Classic is a mixed bag. Good cause he gets to show how good of a worker he is, but bad cause I don't buy that 99% of the roster could hang with him in a real fight for 45 seconds.

This match reminded me of the very first Jay Lethal vs. Bryan Danielson match in AEW. A masterclass of technical process. They lost money on the match purely for the fact that it wasn't PPV. Something like that being on a regular night is heresy.
I groaned when Schiavone and Excalibur started plugging this year's Continental Classic a few weeks back and during Full Gear. It's going to be a looooong four weeks, but Corny & Last will have lots to talk about! I also groaned reading comments complaining about Briscoe jobbing to "old ex-WWE talent". Look, Mark is only *on* AEW TV because of the sudden, untimely death of his brother, and now that he lost the ROH Title to Jericho (in a match where his Conglomeration buddies sat in the back and did nothing while Jericho's crew interfered as much as they pleased) and obviously no plans or desire on getting it back, his purpose has passed.
