Britain would not last two months. A few days at the most. Our army in total (cooks, engineers, officers, etc) is less than the Ru frontline combat assault troops in one small area alone.
bs. There are 111,650 people in the U.K. army (including Gurkhas). That includes more than 80,000 regulars, 26,500 reserves, and 4500 other personnel. Total combined domain forces are around 185,000. Cut backs and poor spending priorities have had significant impacts, but this has primarily undermined expeditionary capabilities. At home, with short supply lines and the support of the population vs. an adversary having to contend with a contested channel to establish supply lines in an island invasion campaign - dramatically tilts in Britain's favor. Russia has meat waves and a horrendously depleted inventory - Britain has friends, quality and geography. And if all else fails, you should know that there is evidence to suggest that in WW2 the U.K. planned to meet any large scale invasion of Britain by hitting the landing force with chemical weapons, rules be damned. And this time they have nukes as well.

If it were a war of defense such as if Britain were attacked then it would be a different story because then article 5 of NATO would kick in, and even then the U.K., since after the 18th century (20th century if you count the Falklands) has never been invaded through the advent of its powerful war fleets whose doctrine, experience and seafaring naval power dwarfs russia's fleets by millennia. Switzerland buying F-35A isn't that strange imo. We have Legacy hornets that are showing their age, and just like the rest of the world, theres always a threat Russia might try something funny. As much as we are neutral we have also heavily sanctioned Russian bank accounts, and are not exactly in favour with the Russians anymore. Interoperability has always been a key point for the swiss air force, that being one of the factors on deciding to import our Vehicles. We also have training exercises with the US and other NATO members occasionally.
switzerland will have to remortgage the country just to keep a fail-35 in the air for an hour lol The Fail-35 continued to falter in very public ways. In 2015, it performed poorly in a dogfight against older F-16s. Its engine, made by subcontractor Pratt & Whitney, burned so hot that it turned atmospheric sand and grit into glass inside the plane, hurting performance and requiring redesigns. And yet, as new capabilities were added to the Fail-35, it became apparent that the engine wasn’t powerful enough to provide energy to cool the plane’s internal systems. Maybe most frustrating, the Fail-35 required several million lines of software code to operate. That code, like all code, turned out to be buggy and in need of constant rewriting. By 2021, the cost of the Fail-35 had nearly doubled-overall outlays for the project, originally estimated at $233 billion for the first 20 years, had in fact reached $416 billion. I thought the swiss were smarter than this...obviously i was wrong.
@@nihilistzero8066don't forget that all fail-35 aren't even "production models" and the so called "production model" block 4 is SUPPOSED to be a thing only in 2030. And all previous planes CANNOT get updated to this spec because the original design is quite old and didn't take into consideration so many changes. It also has the same radar issue of the f16, nose is too small to fit a bigger radar, not enough power to make even the smaller radar work properly, and not enough cooling to keep that radar in good condition.
@@nihilistzero8066 first of all the F-35 was never meant to dogfight with an opponent. That the F-16 bested it in visual range 1v1 fighting is not surprising. I know it's the name of your channel, but often times it is what I think... Great videos!
@@sir_vix Interesting how you are no doubt technically correct, but still amplify my point. Anyway, we would not be going to war here, it would be to put troops in the East if Putin is deposed and somebody like Gerasimov takes over and decides to Gazzaify Ukraine.
@@sir_vixyeah, and not to mention it’s stupid to even compare just the UK with Russian forces because the UK wouldn’t be fighting alone. Even IF NATO as a whole wasn’t involved you can bet the US and others would come to join forces.
Britain in two months and Germany in a few days are estimates based on a war of aggression i.e. if Britain or Germany only were the only powers to wage war against russia. U.K.'s naval power is an extremely powerful asset

Do you think that when designing a hangar door that is able to protect an aircraft worth $85,000,000 and vital to a Nation's security, from air and ground attacks with a variety of ordnance, including biochemical, the builders just sketched it on the back of a cigarette packet and said "Do it like this, bro, wiv hydraulics an' shit, it'll look way more cool, like James Bond innit!"

We also have training exercises with the US and other NATO members occasionally.
switzerland will have to remortgage the country just to keep a fail-35 in the air for an hour lol
The Fail-35 continued to falter in very public ways.
The goal of the aircraft is get close UNOBSERVED and deliver its weapons load.

American attitude to the idea of peace: The CIA already advised Kennedy that the USA should start a nuclear war against the world, especially against the Soviets. The US population up to approx. 40% would survive, but the rivals would disappear. And then you can start all over again, but without opponents and enemies. In reality, this is the deep American attitude. Kennedy was shocked by the thought. That is why the USA has a president today, who is not at all shocked by such thoughts. The world should not be afraid of China, not of Russia, but of the USA, which was once a hope but has become a monster.
