0:13 I can relate that very well. After learning everything in malayalam i was brought into english medium from 5th std onwards. This was done by my parents as they didnt want me to struggle during predegree course and it really helped. പക്ഷെ അഞ്ചാം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ എന്നും വൈകിട്ട് വീട്ടിൽ വന്ന് കരഞ്ഞിരുന്നത് ഞാൻ ഓർക്കുന്നു. നാലാം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ആൽഫബെറ്റ് പഠിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയ എനിക്കുണ്ടോ ഈ മുഴുവൻ സമയ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് മീഡിയത്തിൽ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് വല്ലതും മനസ്സിലാകുന്നു!!!ആകെ ഒരു ആശ്വാസം മലയാളം പീരിയഡ് ആയിരുന്നു. ടെക്സ്റ്റ് ബുക്ക് മുഴുവനും കാണാതെ പഠിച്ചാണ് ഒരു വിധം ജയിച്ചു പോയത്. ഏഴാം ക്ലാസ്സ് ആയപ്പോഴേക്കും എല്ലാം ശരിയായി.

You are really inspirational ma’m. My wedding sari was bought from sheemati Kottayam in 1981 and I have preserved it. It still looks new and the motif, colour and the silk is true to its nature. We paid something like rs 500plus something at that time. May you achieve greater successes.

I miss the old charm of Kottayam town, Thirunakkara etc. Times have changed .. people say there is lot of progress .. but the town, the ugly waste thrown around .. the new structures poke in to your eyes, nobody thinks this is my town, my place and care about it. Politicians whom we thought will take care through good governance are a pathetic breed, not worth their pants.
