Stoffel, the forgotten hero of this race. And he had to give position to Alonso on team orders. Ericsson was another good performer, whose race got destroyed cause he pitted from p8 right before VSC. After that he lost track position to so many people. Aaand his engine caught fire

I love Grosjean getting a penalty for being run off the track twice. I'm not calling Alonso out here, since everyone does it, Vettel was on the radio about the same thing right after, and we see Alonso do it again. It's just the idiots handing out penalties need to start calling that sometime soon. It's been real bad for a while; just ignoring a car to your outside on the exit; and it just gets worse.

In Australia the Force India pair was the only one to actually make the race exciting, Perez overtook in the beginning fase and Ocon near the end on both Hulkenberg and Alonso.

So Grosjean gets a penalty for leaving the track and gaining and advantage, I understand that. But why doesn't Alonso get a penalty for pushing Grosjean of the track afterwards, please explain.
He can't turn more, look at his hands, and the move was brilliant. If Grosjean doesn't fail the previous turn, Alonso can't be there.
And the track is to narrow in stadium to let 2 cars side by side.
He had the inside line, so he has the right to the racing line, which he took. I see a lot of people complain about that cartain move, but it's a fair one. This is one thing I hate about F1, Fernando was the only one to try and defend his position going into T1. The other drivers just stayed on the outside, giving the overtaking car the inside, making it real easy for them. If Grosjean would have defended and taken the inside line, this wouldn't have happened.

Playboy 51 Grosjean pulled a Verstappen... overreacted to being a little bit too close to the other driver, and just took the easy way out. Blatantly cutting the corner. As I said in the Verstappen incident, you just can't do that, no matter what the circumstances, and if you do, you should give the position back, and have a fair fight out of pure sportsmanship, even if the race officials dont care. He deserved to be forced off the second time, imo.
James Shives its not quite the same as the verstappen incident tho.. As grosjean clearly lost his position and then just skipped the corner.
Verstappen cut the track (in distance gained) by maybe a couple of meters, but he would have passed the ferrari anyway if it was possible to stay on the track, where grosjean lost position and then regained it by cutting the track

Someone needs to tell Alonso to leave some fucking space rather than just force the other car off track. The runoff areas are just an encouragement for Alonso to keep pushing people off track. He is also the most vocal when someone does the same to him, always complaining how others should get penalties.
Unfortunately, driving a McLaren he has no choice but to outbreak the other car. With the topspeed they have both Stoffel and Fernando have to take some risks, even if the got penalized.
Alonso is known to be very fair on the track and has after all these years probably just a bunch accidents with other cars where he is at fault.

Then again, almost every driver does this, excluding maybe Saubers and Vandoorne.
