I am a Peter Swanson fan as well! The Kind Worth Killing was the first book from him I read several years ago. I think it was a daily deal audiobook and I LOVED it. That ending! I could see it as a movie or limited series. I got the second book a while ago and am saving it - but I didn't know there would be a third. Not the same but I always confuse Swanson with another author I read around the same time I like a lot - Allen Eskens. Night Watching sounds scary. I am child free but I always say if I was hiding from the bad guys with my cat or dog they would 100% get me murdered rather quickly.
And omg best thriller in a long while: kill for me kill for you OMG you might be reading it already I think you picked it for your BOTM it’s sooooooo good!!!!!
I read 13 4 star books in February (and 10 1-3 stars sigh...LOL) but the 3 I'd recommend are The Herd by Emily Edwards, The Exes Revenge by Jo Jakeman and The Whispers by Ashley Audrain

I've never read Allen Eskens so this is making me want to read him. Yes! Dogs and cats would also be horrible to keep quiet!!!!
