Why is this the first time I’m realizing Riley Sager is a pseudonym? hahah I love all his books! “The Only One Left” is one of my favorite books of the year!
Thanks for all the great recs!! I cannot wait to grab Falling. Sounds so good and unique. Also the chain sounds great. I’ve never heard anyone talk about either of them. So thanks!!
All of these are on my TBR and I’m reading The Drowning Woman right now! So excited to see these recommendations because all the things you named are things I love in thrillers too.
Yes! I’m definitely going to get Riley’s the only one left, because the two books u mentioned of his that you liked are exactly the ones I like too, so trust you completely! :) thank you for this video ❤🥰
I’m probably the only person who wasn’t impressed with No Exit. Just felt like it was always trying too hard. But I always will read an author more than once.
SAME! I wanted to like it so bad considering it was so expensive. I found it for a little cheaper at Half Price Books (used for $15) versus at Barnes & Noble (new for $30). But I still wasn’t a fan. It was a great concept, but I don’t like how it was executed. I didn’t guess any of the twists, but every time one popped up, I was just like meh okay.
@@AliciaAnnReads , I felt exactly the same way. Frankly, I guessed things pretty early on. The. “twists” were mediocre and I was left wanting better, and wanting for more. I bought this book used as well and still the price was hefty. I think because of all the book influencers were promoting it and the value crept up. I read it, it was forgettable, and I donated it.
Harlan Coben's older standalone thrillers are always so unpredictable and twisty! I tried two of Lisa Jewel's books and I'm not vibing with her stories at all but I will give TNSD a go!
@@sasapejcin3568 Thanks once again, I’ll be sure to check those out and will update once read. Best wishes for the festive season and new year, whether you celebrate or not!
I just read six years, my very first of his books, and loved it! Bingeing his adaptations on Netflix is what got me into him but I’m so excited to read more of his books and watch more of the shows!
I just read my first Harlan Coben book (six years) after bingeing two of his adaptation series on Netflix and I’m totally sucked into his world. I’m definitely going to be reading more of his books and watching more of the adaptations
I've been watching your content for a couple of years now, and really enjoying your recommendations! We appear to have similar taste in thrillers so you are one of my major go-to folks for those. Thanks for the great reads! I hope you have a fab 2024!
If you like Lisa Jewell can I recommend Clare Mackintosh (former British police officer) and Fiona Barton. They are automatic author buys for me. Domestic thriller/mysteries, well written that I have really enjoyed.
I really enjoyed the Stranger by Harlen Coben. I haven’t read anything else by him but I’d definitely recommend it (I don’t think I finished the show but I know I liked the book more)
i have read ( or actually listened ) to all but 2 of these and these 2 are falling ( have listened to drowning by the same author and loooved it ) and the chain ( have listened to the island and that was amazing ) :D
Falling sounds like Hostage by Clare Mackintosh with the whole plane dilemma thing. Not sure if the protagonist in Hostage is a pilot too, haven't read them both
Thank you for the recommendations! Going to take a look at I Will Find You based on your rec! If you haven’t already read it, What Lies Between Us by John Marrs is a great psychological thriller ❤
@@ashleyslittlelibrary I have Carrow Haunt and The Haunting of Leigh Harker so we will see hahaha! I am trying to decide what to read I’m overwhelmed w books and different genres I want to read haha like cozy mystery, paranormal haunted house type or a good thriller or a tear jerker or rom com. Haha Have you read The Maidens? Did you like it? Have you read Winter People by Jennifer McMahon or Silent Companions? Those are all on my list.
Falling is meh. Very cliche and predictable. I actually can see it being made into a movie but will cast D list actors and would flop the ticket sales.
I wish thrillers were rated on a ridiculous/serious scale, that would be really helpful in going in with the right expectations!

I liked no exit but did not like The Last Word 😂

Yup. Its trying way too hard. Its just overhyped by the reviewers when the book is just okay. Even the movie sucked.
@@williamchua7261 , agree…the movie was terrible!

Would you please suggest a few, if you don’t mind? Thanks much.

Thanks Ashley -- great video
Great recommendations, thank you
I read most of these and have immediately added the rest to my TBR. Thank you!
Just finished The Quiet Tenant and I am floored.
Great, I have 3 of the books you reviewed 👏👏have not read them yet but excited to ✔️
I agree with sooo many of these! 🙌🏼
The Last Word hands down was my favorite thriller of the year. So fun!
I’m going to read all of these Ashley!
I loved Falling. I was on edge the whole time too.
I really enjoyed the Stranger by Harlen Coben. I haven’t read anything else by him but I’d definitely recommend it (I don’t think I finished the show but I know I liked the book more)
They all kind of blend together tbh (the shows) but they’re all a good time 😂
I Will Find You sounds soooo good, buying rn 😭
Great devs I have those last two on my shelf. I have been wanting to start Falling but have been traveling lol
Hahah good call to put it off 😂

I liked Drowning even more than Falling! It's so like a thriller movie!
Oooh yay!!
So which one WAS your favorite between the chain and the other by the same author?😊😊
Why don't you make video about best mystery thriller/horror novel 🥲
🖤🖤🖤🌹🖤🖤🖤
Do you like Darcy Coates books? I haven’t read any yet but I see people recommending everywhere
I’ve only read one so far (haunting of Ashburn house) and I didn’t love it so I haven’t explored more 😬
