The face of Kurt Angel on the thumbnail looks like he was going to say Chad Gable, accidentally said Jason Jordan, and have to play along with it.
I imagine there'll be a series of skits for a few months with Angle and Jordan, with Angle booking him in title matches etc. which brings resentment from other wrestlers. Then eventually it'll be revealed that Jordan isn't his son.

This actually sounds good, which is exactly why it won't happen.
Michael Gleich or, Angle loses it and just destroys Jordan, puts him on the shelf. This promps Steph/HHH to come back to try and to get rid of Angle/discipline him. Angle proposed a match to to see who runs RAW. Angle LOSES, most likely from a sledgehammer spot, but it lights a fire inside of him and he returns to the ring for one last run. BOOK IT!
As much of a joke this is, I am rooting for Jason, WWE barely has any top African American stars apart from The New Day, so hopefully even tho they probably will, WWE doesn't fuck this up

I hope this happens to save this angle: Jason Jordan slowly, over time, convinces Kurt to start putting him in bigger matches, even when he doesn't earn it, despite originally saying he didn't want special treatment. This causes Stephanie to return to punish Kurt for this, but it's revealed that Kurt had an affair with Stephanie (I know this makes no sense, but that doesn't mean they won't do it) & Jordan is their son, & this leads to Triple H returning, causing a No DQ match at the Royal Rumble, if Kurt loses he loses his job as RAW GM. Jordan interferes when Triple H pulls out a sledgehammer, taking the sledgehammer from Triple H's hands. Triple H then goes for a Pedigree on Jordan, but Angle hits him from behind. Jordan grabs the hammer, but Kurt tells him not to hit Triple H, but Jordan hits him instead. Kurt comes out the next night to ask Jordan why, & Jordan comes out with Triple H, Stephanie, & a doctor, who confirms that Jordan is not his son, & that it was a ruse to get Jordan, who HHH & Stephanie see as the next big thing, on top. This then leads to Jordan vs Angle at WrestleMania 34, & if Jordan wins, Kurt retires. Jordan wins by making Kurt tap out. After the match, they shake hands. The next night, Chad Gable is traded to RAW, & he & Jason Jordan reform American Alpha, & announce Kurt Angle as their new manager, even if he can no longer wrestle.

I would love to see backstage segments of Angle and Jordan playing catch with a football or a baseball. Then they play Cats in the Cradle in the background when Angle has to do some general managing.
i think they are building jordan up for survivor series where he will be facing gable on the 10man elimination tag match
So, the internet (almost every youtube and internet wrestling news site) presumed it was going to be an affair with Dixie, then it was presumed it was an affair with Stephanie leading to a match with Trips at Summerslam and then it was finally presumed that Chad Gable was going to be his son. Only for it to be switched up on us, so we the fans, look stupid (because Vince knows best). I know its wrestling and we have to suspend belief but come on. I like Jason Jordan but it just feels contrived. Don't ever look down your nose at Lucha Underground storylines when we have this example or the fact that Roman can commit attempted murder but its okay it was against Braun. My opinion.
Braun tried to commit murder as well. AJ attacked and tried to seriously injure him just because he didn't get a match at Wrestlemania.

Go listen to Dave Meltzer talk about RAW, he totally sums up the situation and why Vince would choose Jordan over Gable. The WWE tried to do a 'shocking storyline' with a build up that the reveal could cost Angle his career only for it to be dud of a reveal. Listen to the crowd they couldn't care less. And with Gable being 31, we WWE fans are not allowed to use logic and they would written in a workaround, like Gable changed his birth certificate. Cause if we have to believe Jordan is Kurt's son, we could also believe Gable could have edited his birth certificate.
They always change storylines on the fly when the internet buzz gets back to them. Steve and Larson always used to say that a low level WWE writer watches the internet and reports back to Vince. Yes, it sounds far fetched but I wouldn't put it past them. Look at the Rumble this year everybody wanted Shinsuke, Samoa Joe and Omega to appear and they gave us Roman. There probably are more examples but that's recent.
