You guys have done SO much in such a short time! We’ve been in our house almost five years, and haven’t even finished painting 😂 We’re not nearly so handy, though. Definitely do the shiplap. You are already tying in the kitchen then that would tie in the living room making all blend together but have it’s own characteristics. Looks amazing.

The built-ins are beautiful. Lots of storage room too. The only thing I’d have done differently is that black wall, but I’m glad you are so pleased with it, it’s your house, lol ❤
For display-you are a natural! I did it for a job. So artists use color around a painting in a pattern, like a swirl or cross, etc. That’s how you do a display like this also, the color pulls the eye around the ‘picture’ to keep the whole thing cohesive! Good job!

I love the transformation in you're a dining room, and I think that the paintings that you bought would look nice on the wall that's bare in your dining room behind the dining room table.
The bar wall unit looks great! I would put those two "sea" paintings on the other wall that has nothing on it. Put them on either side of a painting of a large old tall ship with sails.

I love it!! I think painted shiplap would look great as well at a later date. I have also seen the use of wall paper in the cabinets to add depth or even color to the space. So much fun!!

The dining room has really gone through different stages, I really like the furniture that you have assembled for that place. The Italian coffee maker is the best for having a good coffee, not only does a man/woman live on a drip coffee maker, I have had one of those for a long time and I enjoy it a lot. Your anchor reminds me of being in Iceland, walking the beach with my mom, and we found an old anchor. We carried that anchor up to our house and even took it back to the States with us. It decorated my mother's garden. I just think if you live near the water you need an anchor as decor. This space is beautiful, I need a visual of your living room with the German schmere wall and this new wall of cabinets .
Looks awesome Cambriea, love how it turned out. Where you were going to place the two pictures as a backdrop if you still wanted to add colour you could use contact paper instead. This way when you wanted to change it, you can peel it off and add new contact.
Wow what a change I love it! Honestly I really appreciate the parts where you share how to balance some items when decorating. Im remodeling my living room and im not sure how to incorporate pictures of the family and other things on my tv entertaining area. You know like finding a theme for each room/area of the house.
For water you could get a countertop thing, I'm not sure what it's called. Tiff from the Beastons has one. Wouldn't help you with washing cups, but you could fill your coffee machine at least! I think your built-ins look amazing! We did something similar with Ikea Billy bookcases in our library and it saved us so much money. Great job!!
I love this 🥰the only thing I would’ve done different is leave the legs off of the cabinets so it would have that floating look. But love how u closed it up @ the finish look
Really love the makeover in the dining room! Those vintage, Whiskey decanters are very cool up there. I have a few of those that belonged to my parents and some from my deceased grandfather as well. Never thought to display them like this. You've inspired me!! I love subtle nautical as well! Great job!!!

This looks like it was meant to be there & your nautical touch was just the perfect touch. Those little things, like the lighting, custom counter top stain, floating shelves ALL flow to a distinct finish that is solely your style, yet it all looks like a professional designer came in & put it all together. We bought a countertop ice maker and make our own iced coffees- I use the Ghirardelli chocolate syrup in mine sooooo good

I'd get a pretty wipeable tray for making up your iced coffee... It will catch the spilt coffee grounds better than a cloth.
