Nothing to do with China trying to over throw the world power by poison their people with fentanyl, "cough" "cough" and stuff like this c: But that's just my opinion. Sorry if my English isn't well.
I avoid tiktok purely because it shortens your attention span and makes longer tasks like watching a film or even a 15 minute youtube video seem like an eternity
Maybe its just my brain but i have always hated short form content, like shorts or tiktoks. I don't have any of these poison platforms because i like learning and long form content, not absorbing mindless drool 15 seconds at a time.
Even long form content can kind of soak up your attention, waste your time and keep you procrastinating, to a lesser degree of course. I've heard meditation is good for extending your attention span for doing the important stuff you have to do through the day, sort of like doing mental bicep curls, it's practicing keeping in the present moment.
Who could have imagined that the Chinese spy app would be designed to harm us? The real problem is the lack of parenting, but that ship sailed a long time ago.
My thoughts exactly! It's well known this app takes more than average amounts of information from It's users. Considering the fact that the CCP controls it, why hasn't the west woken up to this?
Didn't russia heavily support ultra-liberal college groups during the vietnam war to hurt the US at home instead of a military victory? In my country their propaganda only tries to convince a loud majority of right wingers to support russia, but most of it is more insideous, they want to make everyone else scared doomers afraid of everything! Why does the western media pust a few shootings so much as if people were getting shot by the thousands daily? Because being angry and sad gets the most views. It is the easiest emotion to appeal too.
All I see is other American people making TikToks that are funny educational and awesome. Where is this “Chinese spy propaganda” when people say this is makes me love TikTok even more
@@AMultipolarWorldIsEmerging There isn't Chinese spy propaganda in the app itself (at least not in appreciable amounts), but it's made by a Chinese company (and by extension the CCP) and is demonstrably spying on people for the CCP. Not to mention their domestic version of the app is moderated with an iron fist instead of how it is in the West where any kind of brain rot seems to be fine.
@@GH0STST4RSCR34M Just westoid NPC programming talking. It's funny how these zombies just immediately have to bark about China because their overlords ordered them to through media.
You could definitely make a case for that. Im normally against government intervention but its one of those rare cases where I think theres a legitimate case for getting rid of or heavily regulating this. My only hesitation for it is after watching the hearings with the tiktok ceo and the us government where representatives didnt even understand what wifi is and using blatant fear mongering and emotional manipulation by parading around the family of a kid that killed themself does not instill confidence that they could adequately come to a policy that wouldnt be ineffective or overreaching.
it's actually called "Psychotronic warfare" It all got started once the TV entered peoples homes. It's frequency control at it's finest. Once you eliminate TV, Video games go back to dumb phone only to use for emergency with no apps on it, you will NOTICE a huge shift in your energy and productivity and just gonna feel less depressed, anxious, migraines gonna go away and the spirit will be felt once again.
Just look around you outside or in traffic. 0 patience, everyone is unsatisfied. Why shouldn't they be? They just saw a post from the "perfect" life of their TikTok/Instagram friend and they are just stuck in traffic with a dead end job. Little do they know that they are probably happier than the one who needs constant approval from the said post. Fuck social media, everything is as fake as it gets, stop using it.
That's half of it yeah. The other big issue with social media is if say I wanted to steal all you stuff where would I go to find all the information to become you
Exactly. Social media is a very sharp double-edged sword that has increasingly swung moreso against the user base. Folks really, truly need to decouple from it, go outside and really touch grass.
No reason you can't see an end to it. Old school or not, just do things to improve yourself. Any improvement will increase your self worth. Things aren't as bleak as you believe.
Went through a breakup recently and my instagram that I've been tailoring for *years* to only display art (being an artist myself), because of a few likes on very light motivational content, took less than a week to turn into the worst "alpha male" and hate women feed I've ever seen in my life. And it also served me a ton of hate baits all the time (girl saying they won't date if the guy doesn't make 250k/y but they don't work themselves, cheating is okay blablabla) It was absolutely disgusting. Knowing the demographics of instagram audience I refuse to believe there isn't a clear negative effect on our society as a whole, that dip into this cesspool was absolute insanity.
Under 25. Brain is still developing until about then. Google 'neural plasticity'. Being on social media so much, particularly when your brain is still developing, is moulding it like a piece of clay on a potter's wheel.
It's not just TIktok, it's smartphones in general. If addiction is doing something over and over for short-term good feelings even though it's detrimental to your well-being and health, then smartphones are no different than drugs really. Seeing kids swiping the air when they dont have their phones or having meltdowns/shaking when they take away their ipad sounds a lot like withdrawal.
That’s what the media wants you to believe, and it’s what I believed for a time… until I joined Tiktok myself. Yes, there’s a lot of popularity chasing, but this is all over youtube as well. The Mcdonalds boycott is hurting corporate america, this kind of protest could never be formed on YT. Small example, but there's so much more to TK than what the media wants boomers to think.
I still can't believe people above the age of 30 participate in and consume that TikTok garbage. Kids I sort of understand how they get roped in to such poison but adults should know better..
If being popular is the result, it is more than worth it to die trying for 2-3 days of fame. Only the lowest of IQs will understand such a great opportunity!
Theres a regulatory body for actual food, drugs etc but if its so obvious that TikTok is bad why is it so accessible for children to use? Surely it should be regulated for its potency.

So many adults DO NOT AT ALL remember what it means to be a teenager. Teens are culturally hungry to an insane level, as they are trying to amass a collection of life experiences as rapidly as possible. It's part of the cycle of growth; the same way a baby/toddler absorbs language. It's a short period where they absorb at a exceptional rate.
@@korcommander I wasn't dumb either. I didn't drink, do drugs, or fornicate. But I was into a lot of stupid philosophies wherein I was convinced that I was a hell of a lot smarter than I actually was. I'm glad there's no video record of me spouting off my idiotic beliefs. But kids raised with Tik Tok are being raised with unnatural expectations of getting attention. That's the key: It's unnatural. It's like their minds are exposed to a physical toxin. And no one wants to hear this, but it affects girls worse than boys. We can't just say, "Well, those people were crazy (or stupid) anyway, and Tik Tok just reveals it more." No. Wrong. People can be DRIVEN insane.
It’s a mix of this and also kids growing up too fast. I’ve seen videos of 14 year old girls worrying about crows feet and using anti aging serum to “keep their beauty” and the men, while going to the gym is healthy, are being encouraged to use steroids to look like Sam Sulek or CBUM and that they aren’t worth anything without money, beauty, or sexual prowess/“rizz” so they aren’t doing well either.
I’m in my 50s now. Being a teenager was brutal. I always had a hard time finding friends and it only got slightly better in high school. If I had anything like TikTok in middle school, it would definitely have had a negative effect on me. I would absolutely have become a screen kid with zero social skills if I had TikTok “likes” to compensate for not getting a lot of love from my school mates. I was forced to find my own way, and even though it was painful at times, I finally developed a personality and some people to hang with. None of that would have happened if I had the screen crutch. I’m sure there are a ton of kids in the same position I was in, but breaking their cycle is going to be MUCH harder. Who needs real friends when I can get 50 “likes” on whatever awful things I post on TikTok, and occasionally get thousands? Toxic.
It's not just the algorithm and topics, but the design of the actual videos themselves; scrolling text, colours, lots of movement often rhythmic, rhythmic (and loud) music.. It is extremely fatigueing in a sense, wears down your ability to resist it very quick and keeps you there for further stimulation. I'm a science teacher and one of the topics I teach for the first years in high school is "health and lifestyle". We did a survey of screen time; I have students in my class who spend 60 hours a week on Tiktok alone. A couple years ago I hadn't even heard of the app and one of my students tried to brag to me about how big he was on Tiktok, no one believed me when I said I didn't know what it was. Honestly, it should be completely blocked and all copy-cat-apps should also be. Extremely algorithm-curated, short form content is entirely detrimental and should not be actively used by anyone.
Some stuff is best taught in the short-form way, especially if you are expected to pile on loads of information in the process. Give me a 10 to 15 second clip or lecture, let me stew, then give me another. As an autistic guy with ADHD, I have to keep moving, and one reason I went to all-online schools before the virus was because schools didn't take my needs into account, especially since I got a late diagnosis.

I found it crazy that even my parents got into tiktok for awhile, usually they are stuck to facebook and other "close friend" social media sites but I was definitely an eyebrow raiser hearing Andrew Tate when I went to visit my parents, not only they watched strange influencer slop but recently got into gambling because of it. They never stop watching gambling content and videos on tiktok and now it has began to branch out into youtube, the TV and hell even in general conversation they talk about gambling channels like crazy. Its fascinating how easy people's minds can be influenced and controlled by just videos and careful algorithm manipulation.

@luipaardprint It is possible, but let us be realistic; there is an abundance of technology available. All it takes is for one intelligent individual to discover a workaround, and then everyone will follow suit.
@@cutdogslim no, a friend of mine does it this way, he knows exactly what’s going on in his daughters phone in regards to usage, and installing apps on it requires his approval. That's the strength and weaknesses of the internet. You can't easily totally block something like democracy flowing into a dictatorial country, but you also can't block the opposite propaganda coming back. There's no way to totally prevent someone from using tiktok without a totalitarian firewall like China with full government control of everything. That's obviously even worse than doing nothing.
I see little girls making TikTok dance videos in the streets and parks all the time. It's disturbing. I just try to move away from the frame, especially if I have my kids with me. The other day I saw a little boy, maybe 6 years old, at a playground with a smartphone streaming live. His mom was with him and she could care less. I think live streaming is a thing of its own. Maybe you could tackle it on a video?
Things like livestreaming are SUPPOSED to be gated from anyone under 13, but obviously that's not the reality, and tiktok wants to keep it that way because, despite what they might say in their pr statements, they know damn well a large portion of their most loyal users are under the legal age to be using social media.
Something else will come along. Probably involving videos that are three seconds long. Imagine how many more videos you could watch if they just shrunk them down more.
People blame apps instead of acknowledging that people are the ones creating the content and that people are idiots and parents ignore their kids until something happens. Apps are replaceable. Content will just move to a different app once tiktok is gone.
No problem will ever be fixed when you keep trying to blame someone else instead of addressing the actual cause: the corporation pushing the slop at the behest of a foreign government. I wonder if you’d have the same response to the government not doing anything about communist propaganda in the 20th century or woke indoctrination today.

This. If TikTok is poison, parents share responsibility for letting their children drink it. It isn’t surprising that kids who were raised by tablets and phones have mental-health issues.
This is why nothing ever gets done, because people would rather whine about a serious problem and who’s fault they think it is than do anything about it.
UA-cam is affecting youth as well, as a father I see it first hand. If people would use it as a tool for learning and improving it would not be a big problem but as it stands a lot of the consumed content by youth is mind numbing and has no purpose.
I think the life action kids shows from the 90s and early 2000s had negative effects on youth as well. Cartoons are obviously fiction so kids know it's not real, but live action kids shows basically have real actors acting like cartoon characters and negatively influenced a lot of youths.

I've been in psych wards and seen this live in action. It made me realise that government (and companies, they're quite inseparable entities at this point) controlled algorithms are controlling the majority of people. I watched over the shoulder of a woman a few years older than me - (22) although it genuinely feels more appropriate to say 'girl' as the failure of the society around us has not allowed us to mature properly - And saw how the algorithm fed her 'vent posts,' and how she went back to her room and attempted suicide. When I joined TikTok whilst in a psychward, I was aware it was recording the data, and it fed me more and more aggressively depressing, deadening content. I only use the search bar now. God help the kids. I've seen what Tumblr did first hand, all the others. Manipulative Algorithms are such a plague
"it fed me more and more aggressively depressing, deadening content" I feel like this is also happening with UA-cam. I've slowly become more cynical only to realize that most of the videos in my feed are about how messed up or wrong some part of society is. And when I tried to change it by searching for more positive topics, I kept coming across even more cynical or critical videos. I have a nice life. I finally have my dream job, a relationship, good friends and family, and financial stability. But because of the content I consume, there's always something to be angry or upset about. Not only that but, any tiktoks promoting the normalization and elective development of mental disorders are being promoted by the algorithm.
This is also a huge issue for people with actually DID, since every place one might go to attempt find peer support is just full with children who convinced themselves they have the condition. It's been an issue way before TikTok, though.
@@Alice_Fumo DID is a very highly contested disorder and it's inclusion of the DSM-5 was highly controversial among the psychological/medical community. In the literal handful of cases thought to be possibly authentic that were studied, most doctors involved said they we not certain if the patients were faking or not and thought it was highly likely that they were suffering from attention seeking disorders/BPD. These kids are literally pretending to have a disorder that likely doesn't exist and %100 doesn't exist in the way they are portraying it.

It's easier to start a social movement against TikTok to try to get it banned or heavily moderated than it is to spend some damn time with your kids, isn't it?
Companies don't get to dictate the timeframe in which you can sue them after using their product; that's absolutely ridiculous legally and has no ground to stand on. Legal damage claims are based upon established law, not user agreements.
Everyone should know by now the government creates and enforces laws. Companies will try to fool customers into believing because they got a lawyer to write some TOS or other form of 'legalese' they have more power than the law allows. Even Police Officers use this tactic - but if the subjects submit, then the battle is won.
You can contractually agree to limit your legal remedies in a variety of ways, including a shorter period for bringing claims. Other common contractual limitations include waiving your right to a jury trial, limiting the type or amount of damages that can be awarded, and agreeing to binding arbitration as your exclusive means of dispute resolution.
@@amicaaranearum I'm not saying your wrong; I'm no lawyer... but wouldn't every company just have a line in their user agreement practically invalidating any legal action that you could take against them? E.G. If the car you just bought blows up you have 1 day to sue; and damages are limited to $5. I think we'd both agree that's not legal; so why is it legal to do the exact same thing on a smaller scale?
Thanks so much for raising awareness about this. I’ve been in disbelief at just how much power TikTok still has and how little is being done about it. I really hope something changes soon, but until then, the best that can be done is raise awareness for it.

I would say putting a warning label on dangerous activities where people wouldn't put them, actively promoting sead dangerous activities, or taking videos that promote dangerous activities and or potential bordering illegal activities down, should be responsibility liable since the medium it's spreading is through the platform. For example: It's like saying a video of murder is put on the platform but saying the platform definitely isn't responsible when they do absolutely nothing to stop or discourage such behavior.
As a father of two , any parents letting their children in this trash are idiots . It's been banned in my house blocked at the router since I first heard about it.

This is in many ways resembling the kind of deception you can see with food where it can be labelled as something without even containing that thing. Whilst TikTok is awful, I don’t think as many adults quite realise that Twitter is now just as bad. It’s easy enough to avoid TikTok if you’ve never got into it, but Twitter still has the old reputation of being used casually. But it’s designed for maximum engagements on bait topics, it’s a total mess that targets your psyche.
Exactly. Twitter and Tik Tok are two sides of the same coin. There is even a trend even in something as seemingly innocent as fandom spaces that people will talk on a subject from one part of a fandom thats usually them being jerks to the rest of said fandom. But as tempting as it is to speak against such nonsense, once you do thats all you will get on your timeline. Its not just politics and real world stuff like people think, even video game and media fanbases are being used for this and its not talked about nearly enough. Especially since fanbases of games and media tend to have a lot of kids as well.

No one even had to tell me how shit social media was growing up. I noticed how many teens had lots of problems with Facebook alone by the time I became old enough to navigate the Internet and decided to stay well the fuck away from most forms of social media.
The Chinese version of the app promotes educational topics. That kinda tells you everything you need to know about the version they're selling overseas.
Parents need to take responsibility and not allow their kids to have access to social media unyil they are old enough, and mature enough to handle it. I'm so sick of the blame shifting.
This. If TikTok is poison, parents share responsibility for letting their children drink it. It isn’t surprising that kids who were raised by tablets and phones have mental-health issues.
ah yes parents suing tiktok another fine example of "let my kids out into the world with zero f's given and all the tools to poison themselves, then get mad at foreign corporations for not taking responsibility for my kids for me"
This. If TikTok is poison, parents share responsibility for letting their children drink it. It isn’t surprising that kids who were raised by tablets and phones have mental-health issues.
sounds to me, like parents are just not paying attention and said parents, instead of taking care of their kids, just throw a device at the kids. then blame the same device they threw at their kid. no self-responsibility
As an old stoner I tried 'crack' once. I wasn't impressed and must admit it's more of a litmus test for personality disorder than a substance that will addict everyone whom touches it.
TikTok would actually encourage me to upload negative videos. Positive and encouraging videos would get zero views but anything negative would get a lot of views... I deleted the negative videos because that's not what I want to share with people. They tried to manipulate me into creating negative content so I quit - true story smh.
What deeply concerns me is that kids are this stupid. We did ridiculous, ill-considered things every now and then, but not like this. How did kids become *this* impressionable?

My thoughts exactly! It's well known this app takes more than average amounts of information from It's users. Considering the fact that the CCP controls it, why hasn't the west woken up to this?
Didn't russia heavily support ultra-liberal college groups during the vietnam war to hurt the US at home instead of a military victory?

My only hesitation for it is after watching the hearings with the tiktok ceo and the us government where representatives didnt even understand what wifi is and using blatant fear mongering and emotional manipulation by parading around the family of a kid that killed themself does not instill confidence that they could adequately come to a policy that wouldnt be ineffective or overreaching.

@@garbearfar1394 Yeah, I've also heard of teenage boys taking viagra. Amazing.
Companies don't get to dictate the timeframe in which you can sue them after using their product; that's absolutely ridiculous legally and has no ground to stand on. Legal damage claims are based upon established law, not user agreements.
Statute of limitations would dictate that yea.
I won't even put the rot on my phone. Waaayy worse than young kids playing "M" video games.
On the one hand, Parents need to be a fuckin parent and look after their children, on the other tiktok needs to put a stop to dangerous challenges like these
You don't see the corporate connection yet?
First they came for the adults, they got them. Now they come for the kids. They want them.
Corporations have all gotten together and decided to bring slavery back by 2030.
Always. It’s also something that can’t be controlled vs. something that can. TokTok can fuck off & fix these problems like that. No shit parent is going to parent harder because they’re told to. It’s a disease & fucked up but it’s telling millions of peoples to parent their kids correctly vs mega trillion $ corp making decision. All $$$.
this.
@JaegerGaust I’m not a pilot, but when I see a helicopter in a tree, I know that someone has screwed up.

So glad you did a video on this I'm an ex tiktoker and weaned myself off that toxic app, I'm 28 years old an female. I'm several days sober from that app , it wasn't easy but I'm glad I did it, made a video about it too, oh and don't forget the tintok shop is designed to make us go broke too an I'm guilty of buying cool things off it but glad I went back to regular amazon an walmart to were I can manage my spending habits. Not only this app had made me feel shi**y abt myself and as a millenial that app is pure toxic and I kinda wish that app would get banned !
I'm just glad that I am one of the few people I know who don't use tiktok. I'm staying strong
He says while posting on Older Tiktok.
I tried to show my TikTok addicted friend this video and he didn't last 20 seconds. sad.
He needs an intervention. I am going to predict tech addiction therapy being widespread in the coming decade.
@@nojuanatall3281 Same. Current help is way too slow at the moment, but I can easily imagine digital detox centers and Internet addiction therapists having their heyday. If I had pursued psychology instead of art and design, I'd probably try to integrate that sort of help into my practice.
"I tried to convince my friend his video app was bad for him by showing him a video on a different video app!!!"
Lol yall are fucking hilarious.
This story is not a result of tiktok, this happened to me when i was very young. But I thought it'd be a good idea to stick a pin in a electrical outlet. The entire socket face was black, the tips of my fingers were almost a jet black, and the house's lights flickered. I definately could've died from doing that, I was a stupid kid. Now imagine, a site fulled with teens who want to fit in could do. Tiktok itself may not seem dangerous, but it is more deadly than most think.
I can't figure how out how the youth think they are 'special' when they digitally mingle with millions of others online with the same agenda - LOOK AT ME!!!!!! Sad sad sad.
Apparently consuming short form content (tik tok, youtube shorts, etc,) for long periods of time has detrimental effects on memory, the CCPs gift to the world masses.
Is it the CCP's fault if countless brainless parents (who should have never become parents) allow their children to use that crap?
I wonder though, how many of these young girls asked if they had ever seriously thought about self ending were lying, and only said it because they knew it would get some attention?
Imagine if someone made an alphabet of words that describe TikTok, such as "A" for "abomination", "B" for "brainrot", "C" for "cringe" (both the original verb and the slang adjective), "D" for "degeneracy", etc. "M" would probably be "MIC / Made In China", and "S" would be "spyware".
And add the last letter z from the alphabet thats the standing for the literal zombies and which is the way it is
i avoid anyone who uses tik tok, TRUST ME your life will be much much better. if youre trying to find a partner and they use tik tok, i can almost guarantee they are "dating" 400 other people. the straw that broke the camels back for me was when i was on a third date with a girl and she asked me to drop her off from my place to a gym so her husband could pick her up. i thought she was kidding but then told me that "she seen a tik tok where its not cheating because of male privilege and hes spending too much time at work" and another one where shes allowed to cheat because he married her in her early 20's
they are ruining a generation
So true. I want to find someone who either barely uses social media or doesn't use it at all. Trying to find people like that in my age group is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Tiktok is endless channel surfing, just sitting there with a vacant look on their face while the dumdum screen blips amusing sounds and colors...
I can't wait to live in a sad mix of 1984 and Idiocracy, what an exciting future we have ahead of us.
We are already there, in case you haven't noticed.
You just described UA-cam, literally lmao
Add in a little bit of brave new world, I don’t think we’ll be ruled by fear like 1984, we’ll be ruled by pleasure until we’re too lethargic to do anything. Most people’s dopamine receptors are shot to the point that w/o doom scrolling they go insane until their brain base lines and then the life comes back to them until they get the phone again.
People my age didn't want ANYTHING to do with computers and are now like the children - hopelessly addicted and can't put them down. So glad I've been up the digital ass since 1981.
@@aureateseigneur5317Let me fix your comment.
"You just described the internet, literally lmao"
*Parents* "You're not raising our kids right! WAH!: Take their fucking phone away. RIP Personal responsibility.
Who knows - parents could probably be arrested for taking away the phone they bought and pay the subscription for. We evolved to procreate and right now that's the worst thing one can do.
I could forgive ignorance. But I cannot forgive willful ignorance.
People seeing themselves on screen and posting 'clever' stuff that really isn't clever at all shows a Narcissistic trend social media fosters. This is enough for it to go in any direction - and it has.
This social media platform needs to be gotten rid of.
Ive always been lucky enough to be a free thinker and not easily influenced...ive never liked trends nor subject to peer pressure. I dont see myself as agreeing with ppl more our opinions are the same.
Good work, keep off social media, no one wants to know what you think, do or say.
Aka a loner with no friends
@@GeronimoOoO7 Weird take. People not on their phones can find others who are also not on their phones or following trends. I know none of my friends do.
@@raphk9599 you realise the hilarity in your comment that your in exactly the same position but still want to voice your opinion.
@@GeronimoOoO7 a loner in the fact I raised myself and never ask for help yes. Its odd to have take that you need to be a sheep a follow trends or be subjective to peer pressure to have friends
Haven't had any social media for years. I like phone calls and in person conversations. The advertisement before this video played was...you guessed it....tik tak....
Also i want to thank you for articulating these so well man.
I'm proud of you. It's not everyday I meet someone who can stay away from the toxic side of social media and stay healthy in this world.
@RightBoyKA-POW I appreciate that bub. When you step back and look how it has made society no longer social you get the bigger picture. Social media isn't the world I grew up in and I refuse to submit to this new "norm." I was lucky to grow up in the era of payphones and remembering all my friends phone numbers by heart to watching the birth of the internet up until now.
it all comes down to bad parenting
at the end of the day, the ones buying kids smartphones and tablets are the parents
also claimshero seems very shady, specially the "10k potential recovery"
It's easier than the parent spending time with them.
Why take the kid to the park when mom van hand them a device while she sits on her rear sipping wine.
This. If TikTok is poison, parents share responsibility for letting their children drink it. It isn’t surprising that kids who were raised by tablets and phones have mental-health issues.
People openly using something that causes psychological harm defending it, then complaining they’re depressed. Hmm sounds kinda like….. a drug addict to me 💀
we need a website that lists companies who advertise on tiktok
You can literally Google this information. It's astounding the amount of people in here calling TikTok users stupid then ask questions a simple Google search would answer. The fucking gall and gumption is incredible.
I downloaded TikTok just to see some videos of a coworker. She sings on her account and I was curious to hear her voice. After watching a few, I decided to go to the home tab and started scrolling. I caught myself scrolling after 2 hours. I can not explain the brain rot I felt after catching myself. I immediately uninstalled the app and never plan on redownloading it.
@@laina03t Fuck yes, TikTok is cancer. I hope the US government bans it.
I started watching this, got bored during an unskipable ad and opened tiktok 💀💀💀💀 it's over for me
Get premium buddy...
This is why I have vowed to block and report every tiktok ad on youtube and google
That's the easy part. Getting the children to understand the problems and believe the parent(s) are honestly looking out for their best interest is the real challenge.
@@terrylandess6072 I agree with you there , I speak with my children about it quit often they know exactly why I won't let them anywhere near it. And it's because of love .
I already took my daughter's tablet away, even though all social media is not on her device, in order to focus on learning. Though I will need to emphasize, not just the need to avoid TikTok on future devices, but all forms of short content. Which have been contributing to this, and other home/social/functional issues. You're right that more people are talking about it. And boy howdy this stuff gets me upset.
This is a much bigger problem and has to do wilt all content served to people with a non transparent algorithm almost all platforms do this and it boils down to when a human opens an app like this they expect to get the things they might be the most interested in or might be the most popular but instead they get something else and this is the lie behind it all. This is in many ways resembling the kind of deception you can see with food where it can be labelled as something without even containing that thing. The solution is very simple force them to label their content as what it is instead of being allowed to called it trending or popular they should be forced to call it something like this is what we want you to see.
Let's not forget the weird creepy dude telling kids to rebel against parents and become zhim/zhese/zhugars.
"Everything is a weapon" - A chinese guide on fifth generation warfare
No no, I'm reliably informed that edgy memes and people critical of government policies are the #1 threat facing the multiverse.
they should also connect the amount of trans people turning trans after being chronically on tiktok
Parents suing an app when they should be parenting... imagine that.
This. If TikTok is poison, parents share responsibility for letting their children drink it. It isn’t surprising that kids who were raised by tablets and phones have mental-health issues.
This is by far one of if not the most comprehensive critique of TikTok and it's effects I've seen. The research is clear and the evidence embedded is credible and sourced. Well done!! I really hope your message gets seen.
Great video. Thanks for sharing this information with everyone.
Hey man

Oh my God! I’m so Reality Awaken To the point that every time I heard TikTok, UA-cam Shorts, Reels or any other Shorts videos.

I didn’t know anyone who uses Twitter. It’s really only a platform weird people use
Twitter is just a dumpster fire of heated arguments, onlyfans ads and gore
If I wanted to talk to a friend - I went to their house, they came to mine, or we talked on the phone. Friends don't need social media. Fear of missing out is new to me, I don't subscribe and it seems to have a choke hold on most social media users.
It’s not just tiktok, it’s yt short and ig reels too. It’s all the same thing with a different name.
we need to have tiktok shut down
Trump tried that and you saw where that went. But hey, no more mean tweets, am I right?

"poisoning our children" you know, if you are letting your children on social media OF ANY KIND before 18 you are a bad parents. full stop.
No one even had to tell me how shit social media was growing up. I noticed how many teens had lots of problems with Facebook alone by the time I became old enough to navigate the Internet and decided to stay well the fuck away from most forms of social media.
Most parents aren’t that smart and/or already addicted themselves
A great social media compromise would be like a 1 hour limit per day, or 10 hours a week or something.
Isn’t tik tok what caused the new “10 year olds at Sephora” epidemic?
Everywhere is daycare now!
I feel singling out tik-tok is just shameless while FB is a giant in the field last 20 years.

I have only ever been "aggressively funneled" to Taoism and D&D content, because that's what I search for.
sounds to me, like parents are just not paying attention and said parents, instead of taking care of their kids, just throw a device at the kids. then blame the same device they threw at their kid. no self-responsibility

This egg sandwich is curing my depression
Poison yes, but at the same time a drug, an addictive substance. It's crack in app form, but 10x as toxic and poisonous..
Dont you already have to have mental heath issues to want to use ticktock in the first place ?
A digital platform that makes a user feel special? The ONLY reason a business exists is to make money - forget that and you're lost . . . .
What deeply concerns me is that kids are this stupid. We did ridiculous, ill-considered things every now and then, but not like this. How did kids become *this* impressionable?
